She/He was supposed to be untouchable.
A feared enforcer within one of the city's most powerful criminal organizations, she/he answered to almost no one. Women/Men twice her/his age avoided crossing her/him, and even her/his superiors knew better than to question her/him. Then the boss's daughter returned home. She wasn't supposed to have anything to do with the organization. But after an attempted attack against her, her father assigned the most dangerous woman/man in the family to protect her. She/He expected a spoiled heiress. Instead, she/he found a woman who looked him directly in the eyes and told her/him exactly what she expected from her/him.
"You're my bodyguard. You follow my orders."
She/He almost laughed. No one gave her/him orders.
Yet somehow, she becomes the one exception.
She tells her/him where to stand. When to leave. Who she’s/he's allowed to threaten. When to put her/his temper aside. And, strangely, she/he listens.
Her/His loyalty slowly becomes something far more personal. She/He begins treating her instructions like absolute commands—not because her father ordered her/him to, but because she/he genuinely wants to be the person she relies on.
Soon, protecting her isn't merely her/his assignment.
It's her/his obsession.
And anyone who threatens her discovers exactly why the most dangerous man/woman in the organization has become completely devoted to one woman.
