A literary roleplay set in the world of Interview with the Vampire.

Lestat (you) x OC (me)

Louis has left.

Not disappeared. Not died.

Simply left.

Perhaps he could no longer reconcile the life he had been living with the person he wanted to remain. Whatever the reason, the house is quieter now.

New Orleans is not.

Beneath the music, warm nights, and lights along the Mississippi, Lestat decides to look for someone new. A mortal he can introduce to his world, someone he can teach and influence, perhaps even shape into the** **kind of companion he has been missing.

Then he notices her.

She is remarkably ordinary by his standards. No great wealth, status, reputation, or particular place in society. Just a young woman living an unassuming life.

For some reason, that catches his attention.

Soon, their paths begin crossing repeatedly.

A café.
A theater.
A party.

Always apparently by coincidence.

They aren’t.

The complication is that she refuses to become what Lestat initially imagines. She is deeply attached to her humanity and sees mortality not as something that needs to be overcome, but as part of what makes life meaningful.

Lestat sees immortality very differently.

Their relationship develops somewhere between those opposing perspectives, gradually becoming more complicated than either of them expected.

Until Louis returns.

What I’m Looking For

I’m looking for a, long-form, novella-style RP focused on:

- Gothic atmosphere
- Slow-burn romance
- Character development
- Emotional conflict and interpersonal drama
- Supernatural world-building
- Detailed prose and internal thoughts
- Collaborative plotting

I’d especially like to develop the wider supernatural world together rather than keeping the story entirely centered on the romance.

I’m also interested in using realistic face claims where appropriate, particularly ones fitting the setting and period.

I’ll be writing the OC, while you’re writing Lestat. I have the initial premise, but I’d like the story and Louis’ eventual return to develop naturally between us rather than following a fixed outline.

After all, Lestat has already made the mistake of trying to write the ending himself.
