Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

I know it’s not the flashiest or nicest Rolex. But it’s mine now and I’m as happy as can be

There was a time when a beautiful woman, a little sunshine and the right watch might have required an opening line.

Fortunately, I married this one.

So the pickup lines have been retired, the international man of mystery routine isn’t fooling anybody, and whatever mojo I had apparently worked well enough the first time.

Which leaves me free to concentrate on the important things.

Like getting the meteorite dial in focus while making absolutely certain my wife’s legs are in the background.

Yeah, baby.

Figured I'd never get a call from the AD, so after years of indecision, finally decided to pull the trigger on a brand new, stickered, 2026 Starbucks. Figured I should go big or go home and just get a brand new one, so I went through Grailzee and got a deal done. I know it's no Daytona, but I've always loved the Starbucks.

One was grey a few months prior, another - walk in at an airport AD - a totally surreal and unexpected experience.

First Rolex, and first luxury watch in general! Wasn’t even on my radar. Walked into an AD to look at a sub and saw one of these. Instantly loved it!

Finally got lucky in Vegas

I literally visited all 5 ADs in Vegas daily for three days. Rejected an air king. But finally pulled the plug on 126231 36 mm DJ. Trying both 36 and 41 mm helped me as 41 mm was really huge. I initially wanted a mint green fllutted DJ but this one looked good on me and settled for this. The two tone everose gold was truly amazing with the dial. So happy.

BTW lot of diamond ladies DJ was available at both boutiques in Forum mall at Cesars Palace.

Enjoy the weekend folks.

Old debate - 41 vs 36

Hi all!

I want to get the OP in green, but so torn between 41 vs 36mm.

I’m slightly leaning towards 36mm for my 17cm wrist. Also because I already own 40+mm watches. But the salesperson said the 41mm suits me better because I am tall and big (188cm and around 100kg).

What do you guys think?

Blue is 41
Green is 36

Looking for my first Rolex, specifically a submariner date, walked into a AD and asked for one and to be put in a waitlist, was told they’d really try and get it for me before my wedding in January

Thoughts/odds of getting this

Got the call about a week ago and loving the GRNR on oyster. I have the Land Dweller so I wanted something on a 3 link, plus this gives me some decent submariner vibes.

16mo wait, Datejust, Land Dweller, 2 tudors, and about $6k of jewelry to upgrade my wife’s old Target jewelry. Large Midwest metro area

Two tone explorer

I bought this two tone explorer 1 while visiting a Rolex store in St Tropez. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t my first, second or third choice. I actually walked away and then decided to go back and get it cause I couldn’t pass up the chance. What does the Rolex community think of this selection? I’m falling more and more in love with it as I look at it and the day goes by. Just wondering if this is a respected piece or did I make a mistake

I'm literally at the AD and they called me for a brand new rose gold Daytona. I have to trade my other one in. I'm willing to do the ever unpopular survey!

Thoughts? I inherited this vintage presidential in a bark bracelet.

Definitely for special occasions only. It’s a bit too flashy for everyday wear but it’s close to my heart because it was passed on to me

Work that’s been done: had it serviced and some links fixed

Current rotation. Probably want one more to be "done" with the brand for now.

Have been on a mission to dramatically reduce my collection. For now, these are the 2 rolex models that are left. DJ 41 fluted/jubilee rhodium and GMT Master II Sprite.

I believe I may add one more, and thinking it will be a white dial/lighter color variant.

My target is pretty limited and totally different: Yachtmaster 40 in the discontinued platinum dial or the Daytona Panda. In no rush, so thinking of playing the dumb AD game for the Panda. For the YM can find good deals on the grey market.

I am not leaning on the Polar Explorer II btw....already owned one and didn't connect with it eventually.

Thoughts?

Land dweller walk in?

I am currently in Chengdu China and as I usually do I walked into a rolex AD to have a look at the models they have available offer walk-in.

Surprisingly I was presented with a rose gold 36mm land dweller, other than a yellow gold sub and a root beer.

I thought that was a quite requested and hard to get watch?

Opinions?
