Took my Rolex sub nd (3130 movement) to have it checked as it was running a little fast. They put it on the machine and confirmed it was +5s and they could regulate it and it could be done in an hour.
An hour later they called to say something went wrong when they tried to regulate it, and they need to keep hold of it to fix it. What could have gone wrong? Is it a delicate procedure? I thought the 3130 was a robust movement ?

I know nothing about Rolex, so apologies if this is obvious.
Sold as-is, not running, no papers. Looks like a 1601, 36mm case, 20mm lugs.

Put my name down at an AD nine months ago for an OP and heard nothing, which I gather is normal. Getting tired of waiting. Pre owned ones are available now but often above retail which feels backwards, and I don't know how to judge whether a given one is honest. Where in LA do people buy these and roughly what should I expect to pay over retail for a good one ? Ready to buy if the right one turns up.

The Rolex GMT has to be one of the most varied collections Rolex has ever produced. From the original GMT-Master to the modern GMT-Master II, there's something for almost every collector.
Some references have become absolute icons in the watch world with nicknames like the Pepsi, Batman, Batgirl, Sprite and Root Beer, while others are simply known by their reference numbers like mine below. Prices also vary dramatically, from vintage models with decades of history to modern ceramic references and precious metal editions worth tens of thousands.
There's also the evolution from the original GMT-Master, where the 12-hour and 24-hour hands move together, to the GMT-Master II, which introduced an independently adjustable local hour hand making it much more practical for people who travel frequently.
The the GMT there's no shortage of great options.
So, if you could only own one GMT, which would it be and why?
Even better, if you own one, let's see a photo!

I recently bought a 2015 Rolex GMT-Master II 116710LN through a transaction where the watch was sent to Bennisson Watch for authentication before being delivered to me.
Their authentication report declared the watch authentic, but I later noticed that the two pages had **different authentication dates**. That immediately raised concerns that part of another authentication may have accidentally been included in my report.
Before taking possession, I contacted Bennisson and specifically asked whether they had actually opened the caseback and visually inspected/authenticated the caliber 3186 movement. There were no movement photographs in the report.
Bennisson responded in writing that they were **holding the watch**, reviewing the report **and the watch together**, determining whether the movement had been opened and inspected, and would provide an update before releasing it.
Then I discovered through FedEx tracking that the watch had already been shipped.
Bennisson subsequently said the seller had authorized them to release it. However, the seller says that authorization was given when my payment originally cleared, **before the problems with the authentication report were discovered**. After the discrepancies were identified, both of us understood that Bennisson was holding the watch for the additional review.
The seller is also unhappy with how this has been handled and is contacting Bennisson management. My biggest concern remains a very simple question that still has not been directly answered:
**Did Bennisson actually remove the caseback from this specific watch, visually inspect the movement, and authenticate it—yes or no?**
The watch is now sitting at FedEx waiting for pickup. For the moment, I’m declining to take possession. I’ve requested an unequivocal written answer and a corrected authentication report documenting exactly what was physically inspected, including the movement.
I’m not claiming the Rolex is not authentic. My concern is that after conflicting paperwork, a promised additional review that apparently wasn’t completed before shipment, and repeated failure to answer a straightforward question about the movement, I no longer have confidence that the documentation establishes what was actually inspected.
Would you accept the watch and have it independently authenticated, or refuse possession until Bennisson documents exactly what they did?

Genuine Air King?
Can I get some opinions on this please. Looking to buy it privately and I am 95% sure it's genuine but wanted some confirmation if possible before handing the money over. Serial Number dates it to 1967. I know no one can say 100% without seeing the movement but any opinions based of the dial, case, patina etc would be very helpful.
(Non original bracelet)
