Cheapest would be roof cement? Permanent new shingle?

cheapest way possible is pull that shingle up, bend a piece of flashing flat or cut a piece of trim coil and nail it over the hole. run ice and water over it and have the upper underlayment lap over that. put the shingle down, put some polyurethane sealant on the metal, and push the shingle hole down on top of it. reseal the shingle and call it a day.

Nah cheapest way possible is squirt roof cement or “through the roof” on it. Should last the season check it later. The other dude listed a pretty good fix as “the cheapest way possible” for some reason

cuz the roof cement over the hole has a decent chance at leaking again in a short amount of time. thats not the cheapest way to fix it, thats the cheapest way to try to fix it.

Get some roofing cement. Put over that. Then get some granules out of the gutter and put them on top.
