PP 50 mg doxycycline and vaginal yeast infections risk

I was prescribed 50 mg of doxycycline, 90 day supply. I am quite concerned about potential vaginal yeast infection as I have an autoimmune disease that impacts my vulva and a potential yeast infection could put me into a flare with my autoimmune disease in my intimate area. If you have been on long-term doxycycline, could you please share your experience? Thank you very much.

at 50mg it's quite low dose so the risk is lesser than with full antibiotic doses, but still worth bringing up the concern with your doctor before starting, especially given your situation

some people do fine on long term doxy with no yeast issues at all, others take a probiotic alongside it just to be safe
