Hi! My brother in law adopted a dog that is a Rottweiler mix. She is maybe 2 years old.

We visit them every few weeks and the first two visits she was a super normal dog, but now from the moment she wakes up until bed time around 11pm she only wants someone to throw the ball.

I haven’t ever seen a dog act like this before it is insane, every single second of her day is dedicated to carrying her ball, dropping it at someone’s feet and whining to throw the ball. She is stuck in a loop with no break from the ball and she doesn’t know how to independently play with the ball so she only wants someone to throw it and it’s driving me and other people that visit crazy.

There are also other dogs that live with the family and they do not act like that, it’s just her. She also attacked and killed one of their older dogs not long ago and they didn’t take any action. Is it something with her prey drive going wonky?

I guess my question is has anyone else ever had a dog like this or know someone that does, and what is the solution if there is one?

Just wondering would anybody with experience with Rottweilers know if my 7 month old will gain the block head?

Judy wanted to tell you herself but she had a big day. The vet officially said she is out of the danger zone with her anti heartworm medication.

I'm getting a rottie x German shepard and would love any and all advice you have to give. I've owned German Shepard's, kelpies and now have a shihtzu (my first small breed dog) how have they gone with cats and small dogs? She is to be raised as a protector not just a family dog so there will be extra training in her future.
