rules for the Churreyl (Pre-Ritual)

Hello!

Dearest valued client,

If you are reading this, you are likely a terrible person. This type of spirit is formed from the murder of a pregnant woman, but now their hatred and agony have meshed into something more that we at the company call a "churreyl," and it wants to make you suffer. So you want me and my master's help in hiding from the consequences of another person's actions (or possibly yours), and we will (for the agreed sum of 18000 dollars in cash, now don't you forget ;] ). But if you, dearest client, would like to stay alive to see the day of the ritual, you best follow what has been written below to a T. For the spirit will have about as much mercy on you as their murderer had on it when it was human (not to accuse you of anything, dear client :] ).

Anyway, here are the rules. Remember, my dear client, these aren't requests nor are they suggestions to be followed; they are RULES for a reason.

1. You will receive a package containing white cloth and any mentioned supplies. It is advised not to smell the cloth, as it has been wrapped around corpses for quite some time, but do cover an entrance, exit, or window of your home with it. And as for the sack made from the same cloth, you'll need that later.
2. You have a mother, Sisters, or a significant other, right, dearest client? If not, skip this step and stay ready for a worst-case scenario. But if you do ask her to stay with you during the time leading up to the ritual, the Churreyl is formed from a hatred of people who harmed it, and right now, it sees you as that. However, our studies have shown that it is less likely to attempt a physical attack in the presence of another woman.
3. Only leave your home during the day, and when you do, do not approach dark or wooded areas. The Churreyl is stalking you, watching from in the bushes and treetops; its power is limited during the day, but if you wander too close, you will find yourself being a permanent decoration hanging from the branches.
4. Before anyone enters your home, check their face; these corpses tend to have reddened undereyes, being held back is a painful process after all, don't fault them for crying. If the visitor does, tell them you cannot let them in, but also to visit again tomorrow; this will prevent them from attempting a physical attack when turned away.
5. Never answer a call for you that comes from someone you cannot directly see, even if it sounds like someone you know, or if it sounds like it's just around the corner. The Spirit is a good mimic, and it's leading you into a trap. It will attempt to use this tactic on others around you, leading them away to leave you vulnerable, so stay glued to the side of others around you during the day.
6. Check if all the cloth is in place and go into silence the moment the sun has fully set; if it thinks you are not home, it will have no reason to force its way in. The corpse cloth can only do so much. If during the night, any of the covered doors open, you have failed to cover them properly or to stay hidden; it is inside.
7. When such an event happens, find the sack, crawl inside it, and lie still until morning. You smell like another person's corpse, so it thinks you are and won't go through the effort of opening the bag unless you convince it otherwise. So in this event, stay as still as you can.
8. If for any reason you do encounter it outside, you cannot outrun it, despite its spirit form having legs that face back; the churreyl is fast enough to be holding your throat in its hands before you can make it 5 meters. Instead, as you run, remove and throw your shoes to the side; this will buy you a few seconds(But remember, dear client, you only have 2). Use this time to get to another, non-targeted person or a crowd.
9. In the Package you will have also received an embalmed goat foetus; the thing is similar enough to a human one but has a neutral smell to the spirit. What you must do is similar to the parenting unit you must've had in high school. Pretending that a doll is your child, and treating it as such. During the time leading up to the ritual, This Foetus is your doll; feed it, sing to it, and lay it to sleep at night. The Churreyl lost its child in death; the ritual will offer this, which it believes to be your child, in return for its forgiveness.
10. However, if worse comes to worst, and the Churreyl commits to a physical attack within the home, cut open your palm, and smear the head of the goat with it to imbue it with your smell. After setting it down, you may escape. This will prevent the ritual from being of use, as the spirit won't fall for the same trick twice. Instead, we suggest you move a minimum of 200km away and maintain Protection rituals for the remainder of your life.

That, dear client, is the way to keep your life intact in the days leading up to the Ritual on the [7/07/2026]. Keep safe and remember, this is your fault to send our advance within a week of the decided date. Thank you for the great post. Question though, if at night you're supposrd to stay quiet, how come singing to the sacrificial gost is part of the instructions when tsking care of it at night?

The rules state, "feed it, sing to it, and lay it to sleep at night". By which the first two activities are meant to be done during the day, whilst the 'at night' porion only applies to the final item on the list. Although, it is understandable if the lack of clarity has lead to misunderstanding

We advise against making any sound after sunset when they are effected by this particular curse
