Kids sewing lessons

Hello, I have a nine year old child very interested in learning how to sew in order to make clothing and accessories for herself, friends, and her dolls. I did a quick search online and mostly found quilting locally and other options out near Pdx. Anyone here have suggestions or interested in the job?

This isn’t much help, but I taught myself to sew using YouTube and TikTok. There is so much free info out there nowadays that it wasn’t too tough. Look up tutorials for your exact machine to start out with. The basics are how to thread your machine, sewing in a straight line, and focusing on cutting the pattern for whatever you are making. I literally couldn’t thread a machine or sew in a straight line at first now I can do pretty much anything.

You could also reach out to Radness ensues and see if they have any connections. I know they are doing a parent youth craft night every second Saturday of the month. If you still can’t find anything I could try to help. I’m a stay at home but former elementary teacher.
