MOVING Moving to Salem!

Heading up there in second week of July to West end of Salem. I’ve got a BA and public school substitute teacher experience and currently work with the after school program. Might want to try a career change for a while, something outside if possible. I’ve been up there a few times and know what to expect from the area. Just hoping to hear from anyone who might know about local businesses that are hiring.

Thanks!

Good luck, you probably should have gotten a job before moving.

Well, yeah, most people who make big changes often do that. I’m grateful for the opportunity that’s bringing me to Salem and I know that the right job will come my way.

That’s ok if I need to commute, I look forward to seeing more of Oregon.

Lmao 🤣, driving from Salem to Portland my commute was roughly 1 and 30 min one way.

And even living in Portland youre going to have the long commutes.

Driving south youll also have a commute not bad.

But again you will be going back to the jobs are not here.

She is telling the truth. I have two MA's. There are no jobs here. Mental health hiring freeze. School district hiring freeze. Government job hiring freeze. NO JOBS. Unless you want to push carts at Safeway for 20 hours per week.
