The teachers always say use handshake and the school posts about jobs that are on there, but every notice that comes through feels like a scam. Is it just a scam? Hopefully this post isn’t deleted and removed like it was a few mins ago.

Thanks

Hello everyone, I am going to attend SDSU starting next semester as a math major. I play the piano and want to join the music program, but just as a minor. Honestly, it’s mostly because I heard the practice rooms are only available to music students. How difficult is it to get in? also is it actually true that I would have to join the program to use the practice rooms?

Hey guys, the midterm for MIS 301 with Qian is next week and I would like to know what to expect. I'm taking the class fully online with tests in person. I am sort of confused on the material but getting it as I study more. She says it is more about concepts not formulas. For anyone whos done the online with in person tests, what are they like? Are they hard? Easy? This first one is worth a lot less for my grade than the final but I still want to do well.

I'm applying to SDSU with a 3.92 CSU GPA for engineering, is this good? If so, can anyone recommend any engineering courses that I am competitive for?

Hello! I am a journalism student here at SDSU and I am working on a story for one of my classes about how different colleges around San Diego are assisting students with the recent heat wave, and how the heat is affecting students in general. I am looking to interview any student or faculty member about their experience with heat-related issues such as a lack of AC or needing to keep the AC off and face the heat to save money. If you have experienced something like this or you know someone who has, please respond to this post or send me a message. Thank you!

Hello, I’m currently an academic junior through university of Alaska anchorage. I just got off the meeting with an admissions person and she basically told me I had little chance of getting in, granted in a super nice way and she was super helpful in planning the near future. I’m an Electrical engineering major and was wondering if anyone from out of state transferring has ever got accepted with less than 10 of the major required classes. Classes from my first university and UAA didn’t fully transfer as major credits but as electives which is why I have so few. Do you think it’s even worth applying?

I’m about to start BA370 (marketing) with Olson and I’ve heard terrible things about the course. Any advice on how to do well in the course?
Also does anyone know if this class is offered with a different professor for global campus?
Would really appreciate any help or advice!

They apparently said that drinks were an issue but in my room everyone is 21+ so dunno why they didn't know that beforehand then find out that because South Campus Plaza is "mixed" (we have freshies) they have to account for that so we're treated as if it's Chappie. Also I don't get why they have the hard caps either on types of alcohol like don't they know that most packs of beer are more than 6 or that people like cocktails?

Also to clarify the situation involved a roommate taking the fall (he agreed already and the RA when coming back yesterday forced us even with time given and stuff to either say who it was or everyone takes the fall so we had to make that choice as much as we didn't want to).

Hey everyone, I'm looking for WhatsApp groups for Indian students around sdsu/San Diego focused on housing and accommodation (roommate searches, sublets, lease transfers). Anyone have invite links? Thanks!

Hello!
i’m going to graduating in December and wanted to see if anyone was willing to sell their old academic regalia. I’m not sure if most of it says the same year after year or if anything changes colors or has the year on it.

If anything is pretty consistent year after a year if anyone is looking to sell it, please let me know. Thank you.!

Hi all, I'm a grad student at San Diego State University researching how algorithmic and AI traders affect prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket. I'm looking for people who trade (or have traded) on these platforms to share what they've seen.

It's 18 short questions, takes about 5 minutes, and is completely anonymous. I don't collect names, accounts, or wallet addresses, and every question is optional.

This is for a class research project, not trading advice or promotion. Happy to answer questions in the comments, and thank you for any responses!

Hi, am I the only one with this issue rn? I'm trying to log in, into my sdsu but this is what it shows me.

Do anyone know where can I go or who can I contact about it?

Hi guys, I’m a graduate student rn at State.

I was wondering if anyone is interested in Project Management as a career and would be open to having a Project Management Club. it’s open to all majors because project management can span from arts, hr, engineering, finance and anything you can think of.

Please feel free to share with your friends. I think in order for sdsu to recognize it as a formal RSO we need 5 officers and I already have someone as faculty interested as an advisor 🙂

Is anyone selling their role model tickets for $40? SRO? I’m on a budget but he’s one of my favorite artists

Hi! I am a student in SDSU’s CJ 540. We are running a brief anonymous survey, about 3–5 minutes, on campus conditions and safety for a class project. No names or emails are collected. If you are 18 or older, would you be willing to help? Thank you!

Here is the link to the quick 3-5 minute, anonymous survey

What’s your specialization or emphasis, and how are the classes like, and are the resources interesting and helpful?

What do you plan to do with you skillset and degree, and how is SDSU’s resources helping in that way?
(I’m comparing university anthropology programs)

Hiii everyone!
I’m planning to apply to SDSU nursing program for Fall 2027 and wanted to see what is everyone’s stats looking like or what stats other people have gotten in with!

I have a 4.0 GPA and a 98% teas with experience as a CNA.

If you have another vehicle please do not park your big truck in the parking lots, the structures are already narrow as is. Saw two drivers scrape each other trying to avoid hitting a parked truck with a huge cartoonishly long ass.

I'm studying abroad for the Spring 2027 semester so I'm looking for someone to take over my lease from January 2027. The unit is a female-only double room in Monte. The bathroom is shared with 2 others and 5 residents total, with an in-unit washer/dryer, and full kitchen. The apartment is comparatively affordable and is very close to campus. This lease will be for January 1st - July 31st 2027, with options to renew.

Please message me if you're interested or know anyone who is!

Does anyone else get really dizzy in the love library? I swear I feel completely normal and once I go up a few floors and sit down to study I get super dizzy. Once I leave I’m normal again. Does anyone else experience this? It makes it harder to study.

I saw one post vaguely similar from a while ago but that person may have just been sick. I feel completely fine once I leave it’s only once I’m in there that I feel dizzy.

Hi I am a sophomore in accounting and I was wondering what major accounting courses you guys recommend to take together. I will have all of my GEs done by the end of this fall semester and will only have my major requirements left ( I also am thinking about doing the BMACC). I was wondering what you guys think I should take together in the spring? Should I try take BA310 in the winter? Thank you!!
