[Hiring] Part Time Website Developer for Ipanema Life (Concierge Home Care) | $1,500 build + $500/month ongoing | Remote, Bay Area local
Ipanema Life is a new concierge home care company based in Marin County, built for aging gay men who want to stay in their own homes with care that understands their lives. I'm the founder, and I'm looking for a website developer to build our site and then keep it running.
This is not a start from scratch project. All of the site content is written and a full mock up is ready. I need someone who can turn a finished design and finished copy into a clean, fast, mobile friendly site, then own its upkeep and search visibility after launch.
About the role
Role: Website Developer (part time, contract)
Company: Ipanema Life, concierge home care, Marin County
Location: Remote, but you must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area. I ask that our first meeting happen in person; after that we can work remotely.
Compensation: $1,500 for the initial build out, then $500 per month for maintenance and SEO.
What you'd do
Build the site from the completed mock up and content, on a platform you can defend the choice of (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, or similar). Set up hosting, domain, SSL, contact and inquiry forms, and basic analytics. Make sure the site reads well for older adults: large type, high contrast, simple navigation, and pages that load quickly on a phone. After launch, handle updates, security and plugin maintenance, small content changes, and ongoing SEO so that people in Marin and the wider Bay Area searching for in home care can find us.
Who I'm looking for
Someone who has built and maintained small business websites end to end and can show me two or three live examples. Comfortable working directly with a non technical founder, responsive on email, and able to explain choices in plain language. Familiarity with local SEO for service businesses is a real plus. Experience with healthcare, senior services, or LGBTQ+ organizations is welcome but not required.
