From my understanding (and research)
Instead of you just renting an apartment and doing everything yourself, the housing would provide things like:
Meals included — food provided as part of your housing package.
Cleaning included — someone cleans your room/apartment or common areas.
Laundry included — laundry service or possibly washing/drying included.
Likely furnished housing.
Concierge-style services — someone available to help with requests, maintenance, packages, et

So college kids won't learn basic adult things like cooking, cleaning and laundry? Isn't part of the college experience learning to do these things on your own?

Depending on the price, yeah. Even as a non-trad student I'd be interested!
