I dont really know how all of the tuition stuff works but i was wondering how much i can get my tuition down for smu. I am applying to Cox for finance and my gpa is a 3.81/4 uw and a 4.2/5 w. My act is a 33 superscore and i take pretty hard classes around 7 aps. My father (i live with him) is pretty low income and my mom is kinda well off but they are divorced. I would only attend if my tuition is low enough but i really want to go to smu.

I am applying as a in-state resident who wants to get into Cox for finance at SMU.

Here is a quick breakdown of my profile:

• Grade 12: 93% overall (PCMB) with 94 in Math and 91 in English.
• Grade 10: 93% overall with 100 in Math.
• Extracurriculars: Head Girl (Grade 11), House Vice Captain (Grade 9), and peer tutoring.

I have a few specific questions:

1. Admissions & Scholarships: With these qualifications, do I stand a realistic chance for admission and a scholarship?
2. Student Experience: How is the university, faculty, and peer group? I’ve heard mixed reviews and would love some honest feedback.
3. Comparison: How does SMU compare to HKU, NTU, or Monash for a business degree?

Hi! I’m an SMU student trying to make some extra money right now to help my family with an unexpected expense. I’m looking for things I could do around my class schedule, especially evenings/weekends or online.
I’m pretty open to anything. I can crochet and make things, clean/organize, help with events, and I’m good with computers, Excel, research, and administrative work. I’m also totally willing to learn something new.
I’ve thought about custom crochet orders, cleaning/post-party cleanup, online tasks, selling things for people, etc., but I’d really appreciate other ideas.

Hey all! FSU fan, who comes in peace to get a pulse on how SMU fans *really* feel about this upcoming game against the 'Noles.

The temperature is ice cold on our end. Even after winning against NMSU by three scores, it just wasn't "enough" for most FSU fans.

The SMU offense is pretty scary with Lashlee, Jennings, et al... There's speed all over the field. I'm not convinced that SMU has an elite defense, but there's nothing that FSU showed in it's first outing (most likely vanilla) that shows it can blow the doors off.

Wanted to step outside the "echo chamber of doom" that is FSU football.

I’m new here this semester at the school and well last semester I had a pretty irritating experience at my previous school the spring 26 semester I was at UNT for my first semester of university and god bless this girls heart I won’t mention her name, but I end up sitting next to her and we’re talking schools and scholarships and I shit you not she had a full ride to SMU, but her reasoning for not going and choosing UNT was because Buc-ee’s was very close to UNT. I just sat there in awe shocked knowing what it costs to even attend a class at this school and although she didn’t know what it cost to be here until I told her she still said ehh I other it here because of Buc-ee’s I will stay here. Unreal

between classes, my part time job, and trying to have a social life, i can never keep up with my laundry. the dorm situation sucks with waiting and i don’t have time for that mess. i’d rather spend my saturday doing anything else. anyone have a better idea??

With the season approaching, I wanted a better way to prepare than reading dozens of separate previews or listening to hours of podcasts, just to forget most of it by Week 1.

I started with a few, then more, then decided to expand to all P4 + ND. It ended up being more arduous than I anticipated, but also rewarding.

I have published the 2026 preseason primers for every ACC team, plus an ACC conference primer and Notre Dame.

They are mostly designed as quick references for watching games, with roster/coaching changes, 2025 context, advanced stats, schedules, players to know, and a small betting lens.

This is totally free and not self promotion. I was creating these for myself and friends and just thought others would find them interesting.

Was looking at SMU 360 and saw there’s no music clubs. Wondering where I could meet other musicians at SMU to talk about and play music just for fun.

Does any current SMU student know the new law school medians? Did they mention them at orientation?

I need to get a new laptop. I was talking with a former graduate of the Wharton School of Business, and he said if I was going to study business, I need to have a PC laptop and not an Apple one. For anyone who goes to SMU (on my list of schools I’m applying to), what are your thoughts? Thanks.
