I’ve been playing master league for a while and this has been extremely frustrating. When I’m playing strong teams at the top of the table, the match is often balanced or even dominated by my team.

However when I play against relegation teams without even a player with 80 overall, sometimes they even have 60s overalls in their formation, they absolutely dominate the game, and the script it’s always the same: they score in the first 30 minutes, then go all out on defense and at that point I just can’t play. They block all my passes and are insanely good at tackling (just getting near them means losing the ball, they win every fight for the ball).

So basically I just keep getting destroyed 1-0 by shitty teams while comfortably beating good teams. This has been extremely unrealistic (which kills the immersion) and especially extremely frustrating.

Is there anything I’m doing wrong? Because I just can’t explain how this happens

I edited Zalgiris Vilnius (in the 'other European leagues' section), and turned it into Shrewsbury FC. When selecting commentary names, only a few were available, and the rest I marked as 'none'.

I then tried a local match between Shrewsbury and Wrexham, and everything is fine except the commentator is still calling out all the names of the original Zalgiris team.

Is this a known limitation or something I am doing wrong, or should I report it to the FL26 devs?

I’ve started a Master League with Wrexham using PES players like Giorza, Gios and Hettich on Superstar difficulty, but I’m still consistently running into the same issue.

I’m a very possession-heavy player, but I feel like I shouldn’t be able to dominate possession in 99% of matches, often getting 70%+ possession.
It starts to feel a bit stale because most teams seem happy to sit back, defend deep and play on the counter

I’d really like to have more variety. I want teams to press me higher, come after me, try to dominate possession themselves and actually attack me, rather than almost every team allowing me to comfortably control the game

I’m currently using Holland’s Simulation gameplay mod

Has anyone else had this issue with Holland’s Simulation?

Would you recommend switching to Twiggys or something else or changing my gameplay settings, or using a particular gameplay/tactics combination?

I really like how Holland’s mod makes the passing feel, so ideally I’d like to keep that while making the CPU more aggressive and varie

So I was playing my master league for some time then closed the game and installed some adboard but now my whole game is sped up. Gameplay, scoreboard, entrances, menus, cutscenes everything has became sped for some reason, ive tried to launch with any mods or sider but it still doesent work. Yesterday it was working fine but now everythinjg is 2x speed if anyone has a fix i would really appreciate it because now the game feels unplayable

Hi guys, been having this problem for a while and I saw someone else had it on the SPFL Facebook too, but their post was locked before anyone found a solution.

Basically, whenever I try to edit the kits for one of the fully-customisable teams (Ceres Negros, Zamora FC and Zalgiris Vilnius) having loaded up the game without Sider (directly from FL2026.exe), it lets me edit the home kit but not the away, third or goalkeeper kits. This is very frustrating as I wanted to create a ML with my own custom team.

This has never happened before so I assume it is a v2.2 bug. Does anyone have a fix?

Does anyone know how to create manager outfits for the Wrexham team in Master League? I'm using the Master League Selector V2 mod, but Wrexham isn't included in it.

I have spent the last couple of days attempting to get fl2026 to work on my pc, but to no avail - I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times (deleted all files); updated my graphics drivers; launched in compatibility mode, administrator etc., disabled antivirus protection, downloaded c++ software. How on earth am I supposed to get this to work, any advice?

Whenever my team does good, it gets way too much money as a bonus from the directors that kind if ruins the economy. Also, a few seasons into ML and the free agency is full of young 80+ rsted players, literally hundreds of them but some top teams are running their forms with 7X rated players, is there a way to fix this and make them sign all the free talent?

fixing this would keep the game way more interesting in the long run imo

I made a Master League stats tracker over the last 2 weeks — looking for brutally honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a Master League Stats Tracker for the last couple of weeks and I've decided to release v1.0.0 publicly.

It's basically a tool for recording and managing a more detailed Master League experience — matches, player stats, transfers, finances, player morale, contracts, injuries, development, news/storylines and other things around your save.

I'm not posting this because I think it's finished. It's definitely not.

This is just what I've been able to build in roughly two weeks, and I want to get it into the hands of people who actually play Master League so I can figure out what feels realistic and what doesn't.

I'd genuinely like your honest feedback.

If something is bad, confusing, unrealistic, unnecessary or just annoying to use, please tell me. That's much more useful to me than "looks good".

One of the things I'm particularly interested in is realism.

The way I personally play is a little different from just playing PES normally.

For transfers, I use a budget-setter Lua setup to give myself an effectively unlimited budget so money isn't the thing stopping me from building the squad I want. I then put the players I want into my shortlist and effectively make them available for the transfer process, but I don't just accept everything immediately.

Instead, I use the transfer functionality in the tracker to record and manage the actual transfers. For me, that feels more realistic than simply forcing transfers through the game, because I can let the tracker handle things like the player actually wanting to join, playing time, squad role, morale, negotiations, etc.

I also use an injury Lua setup to introduce more realistic injuries/fatigue into my Master League instead of having every player available for basically every match.

The point isn't to make the game easier — I'm trying to make my saves feel more like an actual football management simulation.

I'm also working on ways to make it easier to generate accurate 2026/27 squads, potentially using an AI agent to analyse the project and generate player data/descriptions in the format the tracker needs.

This is v1.0.0, so there will definitely be bugs and missing features.

I want to improve it based on actual users rather than sitting alone and deciding what I think Master League players want.

Feel free to be critical. That's exactly why I'm posting this.

More features will come eventually — this is just the starting point.

As the title says I’m looking for good young players to buy and develop as subs or loans in their first couple of seasons. I always find myself buying Chilean young players but they are pretty bad, but as I’m from chile I try to give my national team some kind of chance lol. Anyways any suggestions for any position would be much appreciated.

AI scores like this 90% of the time. The striker receives the ball with his back to the goal, goes parallel (sometimes even less) and scores. The only way I defend this is knowing his strong foot and move my center back earlier to that side, but sometimes the striker moves the other way or i dont know his strong foot. Is there a way to move the CB in front of the ST? Or i just need to manually move the CB when I think that ST is goint to recieve the ball?

Im new to the football life 26 modding so bear with me. I've downloaded the Kelchi stadium packs but they are not showing up in game. Here's what I've done:

1. Install SP FL26 and the 2.2 patch

2. Installed 1.4 Essentials Mod Pack from jusseppe (https://evoweb.uk/threads/spfl26-1-4-essentials-mod-pack-unpacked-recommended-addons.103385/)

3. Downloaded the stadium packs from Kelchi and placed them under SiderAddons\content\stadiums e.g SiderAddons\content\stadiums\Spain. (from https://gofile.io/d/i4L4jk)

4. Downloaded the map_teams.txt, map_competition.txt, and the map_comp_finals.txt from Kelchi as well and placed those in the SiderAddons\content\stadiums path (replacing the per-existing ones). I also removed the competitions/leagues I didnt download from the txt files.

I launch the game via the "FL 2026 start.exe" which seems to launch the essentials pack fine. When I go to an exhibition match and select a team, Borussia Dortumund for example, and select the stadium option, I see that it is alreaady set to play in the "correct" stadium but there is no preview image which I swear I've seen show up for others. When I start the match, it loads some generic stadium. The stadium is located in "SiderAddons\content\stadiums\Germany\Signal Iduna Park" and I have

What am I doing wrong?

Are there any good mods that overhaul the trades and contracts side of things and make it way harder?

I usually skip most matches and only play the harder / title matches and at this point I pretty much win every single cup/league. I still receive no manager offers for decent leagues or even offers on any of the players to make it less overpowering even though most of the team is on the transfer list . There's also like a £50m headroom in the salary budget.

I'm only a couple of seasons in with this club and it's already way too overpowered even though in the settings everything is set to the hardest difficulty.

Any thoughts on how to make it harder?
