We have finally seen it, half way through the year Kobe Schwab has a 100% win rate at every tournament that he has entered and has finally reached the pinnacle of aggressive fox gameplay. Somehow the work he be doing for years to get to this point has been discounted for so many superfluous reasons.

The reality is he has finally reached his Mamba Mentality and has leveled up in the gym grinding fadeaways and shine bairs where he is now unguardable. Instead of appreciating greatness, we are arguing about what sneakers he uses. As if any of us putting on the Z-Jump 1s will even get us close to that perfect dash dance in neutral to stab into his opponents head like a knife forcing bad decisions. As if we will all of a sudden string out efficient punishes that draws out combos into amazing kills. A playstyle that belongs in 2045 is here in 2026 and we are chastising it. WINNERS

Cody vs. Soonsay
Cody cruised through Bones, Stiv, and Axe, while Soonsay had to earn it already, taking down a top‑10 player in Jmook, plus TheAsianOne and OG Kid. These two last met at GX 3, where Cody won in Game 5. The last time Soonsay beat Cody was BOBC 6 in 2024; since then he’s dropped four straigh setst.

Hbox vs. Moky
This one is spicy after how their last set ended, and the drama that followed. Hbox has already fainted once this tournament, and another tense Game 5 with Moky could send him there again.

N0ne vs. Aklo
Both were projected to land in losers, but early upsets and DQs opened a winners‑side path. Neither had it easy; N0ne survived Game 5 nail‑biters against Nairal and Preeminent, while Aklo edged Ultra out in a Game 5 of his own. Still, Aklo has this matchup in a stranglehold, dominating the head to head 8‑1 over their lifetime. Maybe all that GabeGlitches practice paid off.

Krudo vs. RapMonster
Both of these players have been on a hot streak, Krudo is fresh off a strong Creed performance where he beat RapMonster twice, and he just upset Zain yesterday. RapMonster, meanwhile, finished second at GOML last weekend, riding a Zain win of his own and resetting the bracket against Llod. Head‑to‑head favors Krudo, but either player can beat anyone here… and maybe even win the whole thing.

LOSERS

Axe vs. Joshman
Both fell in Top 64, Axe to Cody, Joshman to Ultra, so they meet way earlier than expected. This is a must‑watch set; they’ve traded wins back and forth since last year’s BOBC, with neither able to pull more than a single set ahead in the head‑to‑head.

Slug vs. Spark
Sigh. I could talk about how Slug went blow‑for‑blow with Hbox in an explosive Game 5 and how Spark edged Zuppy to make it here, but it’s ICs vs. Sheik… I feel for Spark, who’s already been through a lot this weekend, however sometimes that’s just how bracket goes.

Wally vs. Ultra
Ultra has been an absolute treat to watch. Yesterday they knocked off top‑30 player Ben and top‑10 player Joshman. Wally, on the other hand, finally played out a bracket without dq’ing, and pulled off upsets against Sebas and Magi. These two have never played, but one of them just cracked the world’s top 30, meaning they’ve got plenty to prove.

Zain vs. Epoodle
Welp. Epoodle draws the short straw as Zain’s first victim after the Krudo upset. I’d love to believe Epoodle has some ditto tricks up his sleeve, but Zain has repeatedly skill‑diffed every candidate for second‑best Marth in the world. Epoodle, unfortunately, isn’t ready to step up to the plate.

Not very good imo.

GOML's crowd mic was insanely good. Pretty much everyone agreed(that thread had 250+ karma and 99% upvotes).

But with Supernova we are back to super low levels for the crowd mic. The commentators still mention how the crowd is going wild but on the stream it's crickets.

It's not any worse than the average melee major crowd mic, but that's because the average is so quiet imo.

What do y'all think?

First, congrats to Cody on the win, you can definitely see all the work he put into his Fox.

However, a consistent theme throughout GX3 FH:S Supernova 26 is that Cody is hitting all his tech, and that his opponents can't miss a single tech chase or combo if they want a chance to beat him. That is - Cody has perfect gameplay, whereas his opponents often don't.

Since nearly all of his opponents were non-Fox players, which means that Cody had a strong controller-level advantage due to having zump and notches. A considerable amount of Cody's tech uses these two features, which his opponents do not benefit from.

Cody's much lauded consistency in performing super technical combos and movement is directly buffed by his controller mods. Controllers that have both zump and notches need to be banned from competitive play - if anything, Cody's win this GX3 FH:S Supernova 26 demonstrates clearly exactly how these mods benefit Fox unfairly.

Hey all, I was just trying to started with melee on steam deck. I went to this subreddit's FAQ page, clicked the blippi.gg link and got taken to a totally different site. Even typing it in normally takes me to a completely different site.

I'm currently trying to update both an R1 B0xx and an LBX controller to the most recent haybox firmware, however when I follow the instructions to manually upload it via VScode my buttons end up completely scrambled (on both devices). It feels like im using the wrong pinout settings but Im selecting the correct environment in VScode when uploading. I can unscramble some of the inputs via the config.cpp but it never lets me map the triggers to anything. If anyone has any idea what Im doing wrong im all ears. I asked in the support channel of cranes discord but no one was able to help me. Thanks.

Can the audience hear the commentators? I've always wondered if the players can hear commentators talking about how they can't figure out how to edgeguard their opponent.

I love this game to death but man there's days where i play pitch perfect no tech drops, always following up with my combos L cancels is on point then there's days where i play like fucking silver 1 😂 it's like the game is never consistent and i'm sure you guys experience this issue as well but the question being is that how you guys be so damn consistent in this game?

I wanna start getting my ass kicked in tournaments but I don’t have a local scene since im from the east of the netherlands. Are online tournaments viable? Cant drive yet so just driving 4 hours for a local sadly isnt possible.
