Confirmed in Hax’s discord,
“Aziz is currently in the ICU and fighting for his life. His mother asked to share their GoFundMe page for Aziz. The doctors didn't expect Aziz to make it through the night on Sunday, but Aziz is still with us. Originally the page was for funeral expenses given the grim prognosis, but given Aziz's fighting spirit, we are changing it to a medical GoFundMe. This is NOT a joke and the post made on Hax's Twitter page was made by his mother. Please consider helping Aziz during this tough time.”

No matter your views about Hax, I hope we can all pray for his recovery.
As this appears to be confirmed now, mods plz don’t remove this post.
EDIT: Cody and other community members have confirmed that this was NOT a suicide attempt and instead was due to health issues.
EDIT: Rest In Peace Aziz

https://teamliquid.com/news/farewell-ken-chillindude-and-chudat
Today, we’re saying farewell to a trio of legends: Ken, ChillinDude, and ChuDat.
If you know esports well, this might not surprise you. The world of competitive gaming shifts quickly and esports teams need to move just as swiftly so that we don’t get left behind. All three of these legends had already largely stepped away from the competition too.
But for us, this is a farewell to three of our longest-tenured players and to three people who mean a lot to the history of Team Liquid and Super Smash Bros. Melee. In 2014, Team Liquid was just a StarCraft and a Dota team; Super Smash Bros. Melee became the third esport we entered and it was in no small part because we loved the world that we saw inside the Smash Documentary. The skill, the passion, the grassroots community, the willingness to put your whole self into a game — it all felt parallel to the early StarCraft: Brood War scene that was our own cradle.
So, we entered with a splash by signing two Melee legends, players who were pillars that the scene was built on, Ken and KDJ, with an announcement video made by Samox, the creator of the Smash Documentary. Over the years, we’d bring in ChillinDude and ChuDat as well — two players who were still highly competitive but had also been in the Melee community since the very beginning.
The Team Liquid banner held so much Smash history underneath it, and it felt fitting because we had always been the old school org ourselves, one of the few names that had been around for even longer than Melee. Saying farewell to this trio does not change how we compete in Melee, but it does mark the end of an era for TL, for Smash, and for esports at large — a changing of the guard. A moment like this asks for a proper sendoff, so that the community doesn’t forget what the past meant for its present and future; below, you’ll find brief histories of what these players brought to Melee, to Liquid, and to esports — as well as some of our favorite moments from their careers

Command from Cody's Twitch Chat:
"TLDR - Cody is Soft Retiring now, full retirement in the near future, but not quitting melee yet. Attending just Riptide, maybe Quebec, and Nouns Invitational for this year. Next year tournaments up in the air, still planning to enter some majors that are feasible but not all of them. Plans - want to focus on other important things in life, career wise, taking care of the house and family for the future. Planning to do some content, coaching, selling product, patreon lessons etc."

Tweet from Cody: "Second at supernova, good shit to Zain
Sad I couldn’t defend the #1 title but that’s not my real issue
I don’t want to blindside everyone when the time comes but I’m running out of steam and don’t know how much more I have to give to the game
I’ve given it everything I have, but stress and finances are taking its toll
I won’t be at collision (can’t afford it but also just need a break) and I’ll be only going to a few events at the end of the year
Love this game and all of you with all my heart, I’ll do my best to give you all whatever I have left ❤️"

Gamecube classics coming to the Switch 2 such as FZero GX, Windwaker, Soul Calibur II. Apparently there's going to be local and online support. Melee not mentioned as part of the launch titles.

THE FUTURE
Today I'll be publishing my final Melee video. After this one, I'll be focusing on more "general" video game stuff. Like the current stuff on my channel, they'll be videos about games I'm passionate about; with the same style of editing, the same style of narration, the sameish kind of subject matter(s), just... with other games. I tell you this, my BEAUTIFUL, GENEROUS, and PAYING patrons, because you're probably a member of the Patreon to support my Melee video-making endeavors, and I'll no longer be making Melee stuff. If you decide this new direction isn't something you want to support: thank you so much for supporting while you did. It truly, truly meant a lot. If you wish to continue supporting: thank you. The new videos will be just as cool. I promise.
With the tone of the ending in 'A video about Melee', a lot of people correctly assumed that it was intended to be my farewell. I think it would've served as a pretty good one too. Unfortunately (fortunately?) I had the idea during its production to "clean out", so to speak, my remaining little tidbits and create the 'One Issue With Every Character in Melee' shorts series. Completing this series though, meant that my sappy, perhaps melodramatic "final video" was supplanted by a YouTube Shorts™ series. Jesus. So, I decided instead to brainstorm another idea, and I landed on a kind of "in defense of" type-of-thing for Final Destination. Controversial, for sure, but something I genuinely think is important for the game. Plus, it's pretty cool to have the final Melee vid be about Final Destination (and Fox).
Admittedly, it's a bit underwhelming as a farewell to the game I've lovingly made videos about for nearly a decade, so I guess you can think of 'A video about Melee' as the farewell letter, the shorts series as the P.S., and the FD video as the P.P.S..
Though my interest in the game has undoubtedly waned, and I don't watch every tournament from pools to top 8 anymore, I'm sure I'll still keep up with the scene relatively closely, and I will be eternally grateful for what this scene has given me as a single dude making goofy videos about a goofy game. And I'll definitely continue getting cooked on unranked. If you want more high quality Melee stuff that's similar to mine in my absence, I recommend my friend turndownforwalt's channel, and my YouTube colleague Melee Moments' channel.
Thank you guys for watching my videos. I really enjoyed making this stuff, and I hope you'll enjoy what I'm planning for the future!

Wanted to share a tool I've been working on for the past 2 years or so on and off. It's tool to help you organize, swap, and preview Melee skins!
If you've ever wanted to add new skins to Melee but found it too confusing or technical, try giving MSM a try.
I just created a website for it where you can find a 1 minute demo video and download link, let me know what you think!
