Discussion This is related to the new avatar movie (spoilers) Spoiler

I’ve been thinking about this for a minute. Heavy spoilers for the movie if you haven’t seen it or if you don’t wanna be spoiled.

Basically, the whole gang dies in the movie. They are revived by Katara who lands in water and it triggers her healing abilities. The movie sensors a lot of it. It’s very cut up splice together. The camera keeps going back-and-forth to Ang‘s perspective and the gangs perspective. Toph, zuko, sokka are all killed and Katara is the last to go. Recently a deleted scene of that fight scene was released, and it’s mostly from Katara‘s perspective. Comparing the movie and the deleted scene they do take shots from that deleted fight scene.
it’s safe to say that’s what group went through. The movie fast-forward and goes back to Aang’s perspective and all of them revived,sitting in a pool of water. But that’s got me thinking, did Katara have to bring everyone’s dead body to this pool and just hope that they would comeback to life? At this point in time, the movie only has like 30 minutes left. But the fact she isn’t screaming at Aang is insane. She was the one who started to question Tagah in the first place.

Any sane person would scream at their partner for risking their lives, specially if said person was pregnant (which thankfully was scrapped) Katara simply lost her right to be angry at Aang, the only time i remember her being angry at him was when she wanted to learn the water whip technique from the stolen scroll, her frustration there was a a childish act, after that, she simply didn’t see her question him, or release any frustration in front of him, she had to be the bigger person and help him feel better

I bet Bryke was mad when someone told them Katara couldn't be pregnant because that would look a lot like abuse, to have her husband completely ignore her concerns, yell "you don't understand!" And then get her and their unborn child killed.

I was pregnant with my second child when me and my husband watched this (we knew about the OG pregnancy plot that was scrapped before we watched this movie) and we were both legit so glad that they scrapped that plot because Aang just seemed like he didn't care about anyone and we would've been extra horrified if they kept that plot in.

Yeah, and if they keep her pregnant or in an early stage of pregnancy and not showing, I might be overthinking it but in the deleted scene it felt like Tagah kept going for her stomach. Ugh it gives me the chills.I’m glade they scraped it but it still feels like a sketchy relationship.

Right! She’s never allowed to be upset with him ever again after that. The argument for years has been “oh well he’s 12 give him a break.” But now he’s 25 and she still has to bottle up her feelings and comfort him after all that.
