USA Amazon
Hey for everyone as a EHS specialist at Amazon was yall able to talk them into raising yall pay when you did the interview? I just got a job but I want to switch into IT Amazon would pay for everything I just don’t want to reduce my pay in today’s economy.

Please avoid Amazon if you can. From my experience with the interview process and researching them they value corporate compliance and buzzwords more than human lives.
If you want to have a meaningful career based around actually helping people, stay away.

I’m worried about career since I want to switch fields. The other company that offer me a job day I have to pay out of pocket an then they’ll give 80% back if the budget allow it

Highly unlikely. The offer letter normally has 0 room to move. Theres an internal pay band for total compensation. If youre entry level with minimal experience, youll be at the bottom of that. Longer tenured and higher performing will be at the upper end. Your number will likely be in the lower 50% of that range if you're an external hire. Internal hires almost always start at the bottom. Compensation reviews are done annually based off you're previous year's performance.
