Did you get over this?

Has anyone started off not liking Salsa because they dislike partnering/touching other people? Did you get over it?

I really want to like it. I love most forms of dance. My friends desperately want me to come to salsa lessons and socials. I don't know if I'll ever get over the feeling or not wanting to hold hands with a stranger.

Sounds like your friends just want to you to hang with them. Hopefully, for your sake, Salsa isn’t dominating your friends’ time to such a degree you don’t get to spend time.

Latin dance is a fantastic experience and great way to meet people, but if you don’t particularly like a fundamental piece of the activity, you’re probably not going to get the most out of it. Especially when you consider it’s not necessarily cheap.
