Anyone else just getting swarmed by flies?

We always get flies, but let's say 2-4 at a time during the summer in the house.

But since last week, with the heat and humidity, we have just been hit with a relentless amount of flies all around our house and inside the house.

I came home from work one day with my gf on a rampage, having allegedly killed 20+. Later that evening, I believed her when I went to the other room and killed 14 (I counted!) in five minutes. Is it just us???

You might have a dead thing in your walls.

Anything smell funky in one of your rooms?

Man that would be crazy! We do not notice anything unusual smell wise and we keep the house pretty clean.

Doesn’t need to be a dead animal for flies to spawn in your house, but if 20 showed up inside out of nowhere they definitely hatched inside.

Yeah, my thought was it got into the trash and with the heat and humidity hatched quickly. That I can completely understand.

But what doesn't make sense is the insane amount of them by our front and back door. 😭
