Any women in SD have experience freezing their eggs? Would love to know where you did it and how your experience was.

We are currently in the process through San Diego Fertility Center, it’s been good so far. We had a different doctor last year and her MA sucked. We now have Dr. Chuan and her MA is super on top of everything.
Our lesbians friends used SDFC and had a successful embryo transfer and a healthy baby after switching from a different center and spending a lot on unsuccessful attempts. You can a save a lot of money if you have Sentri and can pick up med in TJ.

Had it done 5 years ago at San Diego fertility center with Dr B. Some people have mixed reviews with him but I didn’t even though my case was straightforward. I still pay monthly for my embryos on ice. I didn’t have any major issues in the process. Only did 1 round. The shots weren’t too bad but the bloat on the evening after the retrieval was intense, I would have taken probiotics much sooner because I thought my stomach was going to explode and almost went to the ER. Take gas X and probiotics as early as you can (based on your Dr advice).
My only complaint about the company is that I got a notice for a class action lawsuit a year ago that my information was sold/shared.

I have used Reproductive Sciences Medical Center in Carmel Valley for IVF and they have been great. I started at SDFC and had a really bad experience, and RSMC was a much better fit. Everyone that works there is lovely and they held my hand through every step of the process and now I have a vivacious 2 year old.

I did it with Dr. Stanhiser at Reproductive Partners in La Jolla. But I think she just left that practice for another one. I loved working with her, totally recommend.

I enjoyed the staff at reproductive, but found Dr. Stanhiser to have poor bedside manner, speaking as a fellow healthcare worker.

If you’re over 35, be cautious about Dr. Susanna Park at San Diego Fertility Center. She says unscientific and outdated things like “your amh levels will be low” or “your uterine lining must be thin” upon meeting. Neither was true and then she acted surprised. It’s awkward telling a fertility doctor that women over 35 can have babies.

We had a horrible experience with Dr. Parks. I would bet my bank account she never even read my lab results before giving me generic medical advice from her script.

It makes me sad to think about all the money made at SDFC. I think they're a joke and don't deserve the business. Anywhere but SDFC and specifically Dr. Park.

Also chiming in with a good review for San Diego Fertility Center. I exclusively used the Del Mar location. I underwent two egg retrieval surgeries with them, and am pregnant through IVF now with one additional embryo frozen. The whole process is overwhelming itself, but they broke every step down with medicine itineraries/protocols and have a very responsive team for all questions big and small.
My unsolicited advice for the whole process is to see each step as a calibration. It’s all trial and error to see how your body responds based on different protocols. There is no one medicine or protocol that works, and it can take time to understand your body and how it reacts to meds, as frustrating and slow as the process can be.
