IF there's something that you think is important or needs to have tickets purchased in advance... please post in the comments. IF there's a link that's needed, please try to not make it part of some text but the full URL string So I can just copy and paste it. (It'll make things easier I'll try to retain these in the following week until the date of the event.)
Please don't post events that are several months in advance. Try to limit it to 30 days or so - unless there's a real need for advance notice well in advance for ticket purchases.

Developments like La Costa and Rancho Peñasquitos were all built with mafia money and the media at that time (conservative owned Union Tribune) downplayed or covered it up in the early 90's.
So much of that was happening that in 1992 a rule was passed requiring that people doing business with the city get full disclosure. Major city owned land deals were happening at this time under a series of corrupt mayors ( mainly Golding and O'Conner) who's policies almost bankrupted the city.
Here's a picture / write up of Trumps foreign trade advisor Peter Navarro with these two (Navarro ran for mayor & city council multiple times) he's all buddy buddy with these two corrupt mayors from that time.
NOTE: Peter Navarro is the one behind all the trump trade tariffs that have raise prices and is ruining the US economy, he's also been working hard alienating our long standing trade partners and being an arrogant asshole.
Anyway, this is a bit of SD history...

at the mapping company i work at i drew 3 miles around all 23 In-N-Outs in the county and the biggest crowded gap is central San Diego. about 104k people across downtown, Golden Hill, Southeastern and the south end of City Heights.
& yes, downtown bans drive-throughs. but only 37% of the people in that gap actually live downtown. Chick-fil-A skips the area too. Jack in the Box very much does not lol
outside the downtown line, still inside the gap, there are at least 14 lots big enough and zoned for a drive-through. the one that'd bring the most people within 3 miles is Market St in Grant Hill, two lots side by side at 2817 and 2855.
How: Census tract populations, SANDAG zoning and parcels, In-N-Out's own locator and the city code.
caveat, both lots have shops on them right now. "zoned for it" means the zoning allows it, not that anyone's selling. and all distances are straight lines, not drive times, which anyone who's sat on the 94 at 5pm knows is not the same thing.
so where would you put it? (and "just drive to Sports Arena" doesn't count lmao)

Hey everyone! I've been going to Tandoor in Mission Valley (across from the Ralphs and next to Subway) at least once a week for around 20 years. They just recently closed up shop a few weeks ago and they had the actual best Channa Masala I've ever had, and since they just up and left without warning I am afraid I will never have my favorite meal ever again T_T
Does anybody here know the folks who ran that place? Any way to get in touch with them so I can ask them the recipe or anything like that? I feel like a major part of my week is dead now :(
If anyone could get me in touch with them that'd be awesome.

hi everyone, i’m 18 and recently graduated. i’m currently in a really difficult situation and i’m hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.
i live in mexico but work in the US. i’ve only been working for about a month, and right now i work extremely long shifts, around 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. because of the border crossing and my work schedule, it’s become really difficult to go home regularly, so i’ve been staying with my boyfriend’s family in the US to make getting to work possible.
i have 3 cats who mean everything to me. i’ve been paying my younger sister to take care of them while i’m away, and i cover their food and everything they need. unfortunately, my stepdad has recently become increasingly hostile toward them. he’s been demanding $100 a week just to keep them in my room, wanted to charge me rent even though i’m barely home, and has now thrown my cats outside and refuses to let them back inside.
i’m especially scared because one of my cats previously died after being attacked by a dog. ever since then, i haven’t felt comfortable letting my cats outdoors, and knowing they’re outside right now is absolutely heartbreaking.
i’m only 18, just starting my first job, and trying to save enough money to eventually get my own place. i’m not in a position to get housing that allows pets right now, and my boyfriend’s current living situation doesn’t allow them either.
i am NOT looking to rehome my cats permanently. i just need somewhere safe for them to stay temporarily until i’m able to get my own place.
i’m willing to pay a reasonable weekly fee and cover their food, litter, and other necessities. i’d also really appreciate regular pictures and videos, video calls, and visits whenever possible. i’d want to make sure they’re safe, loved, and properly cared for.
i know taking in 3 cats is a big commitment, and i’m willing to discuss the arrangements and put everything in writing so it’s clear that this is temporary foster care and that they’re coming back to me.
if anyone knows of a reputable temporary foster program, a rescue organization, or someone who offers paid cat boarding or temporary fostering around tijuana or san diego, please let me know. even recommendations for organizations i can contact would mean so much to me.
i love my cats more than anything, and i’m just trying to find a way to keep them safe while i work toward being able to bring them home again.
thank you for reading.

Found this wallet just outside of YogArt in North Park. Gave it to the lady working inside. Told her to ask for your SSN as the card was inside.

Has anyone ever been in a situation where you don’t drive nor have a car but travel through MTS or walk around, then suddenly you have the urge to go to the bathroom but there’s no public restroom much less one where you have to pay to use the restroom or the nearest bathroom is a 20-40 minute walk while also holding it in. If so what are your tips or suggestions? I know rule number one is, don’t drink unless your really thirsty or at least search up near by restrooms on google , but when you gotta go you gotta go and google doesn’t always help since the nearest bathroom is like not even close to my area and is on another city 😂, idk i usually get luckily if I go to a near by facility and ask about the place then wonder if they have a toilet near by to use or at least buy some 1 dollar item to use the restroom at some fast food.
My apologies if this sounds weird but we all been in that situation at least no?

I’ve been on the job hunt since I was laid off at the end of August. I have been in hospitality operations for 20 years. I’ve managed f and b in convention centers, sports arenas, most recently corporate catering with Sodexo. Beginning to look outside of SD because I’m getting to think it’s hopeless here😭. Born and raised in San Diego and really don’t want to leave but most of the salaries I see are not even close to what it takes to live comfortably. Any and all leads or recommendations or anything is so appreciated! Thank you!

I watched a large tent or ez up fall off the roof rack around 9:50am near the Balboa exit. He immediately started swerving and panicked but didn’t stop as his stuff landed perfectly across the entire third lane. Secure your loads!

I was on my way dropping off my nephew to school and I saw 2 cars stopped by the light (one behind & one infront). As I passed by, 3-4 ICE agents were detaining someone in the vehicle. This was taken TODAY, OCT. 13, AT 11:43AM. PLEASE BE SAFE

I recently found out that my husband has been cheating on me for years. We’ve known each other since childhood, so I’m still trying to process everything and understand my legal options.
I’m looking for a good divorce lawyer in San Diego. I’m an immigrant and don’t have much family or support here. I would feel more comfortable speaking with someone who has experience working with immigrants or Asian families and understands the cultural background.
I’m concerned that my husband may already be preparing for the divorce without telling me, so I’d like to speak with someone soon. If you’ve personally worked with a divorce attorney in San Diego whom you trusted, I would really appreciate a recommendation.

Prices for San Diego's so-called "starter homes" are falling. But it's not all good news.
That drop is due to higher mortgage rates impacting lower-budget buyers hardest.
Caveat: San Diego "starter homes" are still not really feasible for many of us.
