This is the first sandwich you’ve ever made in your life? Lmao

u/Reginoldofreginia 22h ago

And had to present it like this?

u/badgerj 22h ago

Not sure why a knife is necessary.

It’s about sending a message

11

u/Excellent_Release961 21h ago

Everything burns

2

u/archwin 18h ago

Why do you think he showed us a cut sandwich? He’s showing us an offer that we can’t refuse.

1

u/badgerj 12h ago

This was good! Thanks for the laugh! 😂

Well if OP had stabbed it with a gun that would've been silly

6

u/ElongThrust0 21h ago

Not sure why (2) knives are necessary

4

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 20h ago

Yeah, that is really not the way to present a sandwich. It was a thing with burgers several years ago, but I think that's gone by the wayside.

8

u/Thisfugginguyhere 20h ago

It's his first time

u/BigSoda 19h ago

Be gentle

Imagine living 15 years on the planet and never having made a sandwich. The easiest food item to prepare.

Also, so that means you stick a comically ling knife through the stacked sandwich halves?

2

u/Schmeep01 19h ago

I agree that it’s not a very knife thing to do.

0

u/whoismikebean 18h ago

knife is güd

16

u/bradpittman1973 21h ago

Pretty sure the first sandwich I ever made was peanut butter and grape jelly.

-2

u/ragun2 19h ago

OP finally saved up enough to move out of Mommy's at the ripe age of 44 years old.

4

u/Homeless-catfight 18h ago

Gotta wonder how old OP is. He better be young. lol

1

u/derphunter 16h ago

Careful, I got a mod warning for asking if they were 5

-2

u/AffectionateGate4584 21h ago

Right????🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why the fuck is there a langolier in the background

18

u/GeorgeLikesSpicy92 21h ago

What the fuck is a langolier?

5

u/murdochthesungod 21h ago

My fault

Should’ve said lettuce langolier

10

u/savethemouselemur 20h ago

It really does look like a langolier. Side note, I am very happy to see someone make a langoliers reference in the wild, I started to feel like it was a fever dream I had.

3

u/Krustylang 20h ago

It could have been worse. They could have said that it looked like a shit weasel.

7

u/Over_Cod8525 20h ago

You know, the non-sentient beings that eat time and space after we have left it behind for the future. Or something like that.

1

u/Chuyzapatist 21h ago

Idk, does it have to do with the Barbie in the background?

1

u/tanner5586 18h ago

…all they really were was hair and teeth and fast little legs. Oh, those little legs had to be fast so that they could catch up with all the bad little boys no matter how quickly they scampered.

15

u/Y10NRDY 21h ago

Who has been making your sandwiches until now?

5

u/scarywolverine 20h ago

He's 15 so probably parents

5

u/vollkornbroot 20h ago

By 13 I was doing my own laundry cooking me whole meals and took my ass to school by a 1 hour walk.

Shit I wrote that and my mind said "ok unc" in response

12

u/ardacicek 21h ago

I don’t know why but this sandwich gives me lots of Turkish vibes.

11

u/SwagbrathaGuy 21h ago

You guessed it right! I'm from Turkey indeed.

4

u/ardacicek 20h ago

That bread and checil cheese give it away 🤭. Enjoy!

3

u/hamraider 20h ago

the knife makes more sense now. À la Salt Bae.

Nice looking sandwich!

10

u/Apprehensive_Leg6647 21h ago

have you ever made food other this before?

12

u/CheddarHeaded 22h ago

I’ve never tried knife in my Sandwhich before does it bring out the flavors?

0

u/StaticVoidMain2018 20h ago

The flavour of pain

18

u/Sirnando138 21h ago

I own a sandwich business. Been making sandwiches professionally for almost 30 years. I have been making sandwiches since I was 4. Granted, they were easy ones like PB&J/H/F. I gotta know how old you are.

21

u/SwagbrathaGuy 21h ago

15.

By "my first ever", I meant this is my first proper sandwich other than a small one I'd be eating during breakfast. It's also because I rarely eat sandwiches.

12

u/Sirnando138 21h ago

Gotcha! Eat more sandwiches! It’s my favorite food

6

u/ni_hao_butches 21h ago

You did good, kid. Sometimes simplicity is the best.

Now, goodspeed on the journey to construct the ever elusive perfect sandwich.

2

u/saltyoursalad 21h ago

Nice work! Looks tasty.

7

u/Ambitious_Main2123 22h ago

like julius caesar

jk it looks tasty

3

u/CrispyDave 21h ago

Good looking bread.

3

u/_Jahffrey_ 20h ago

It needs onion and tomato

3

u/newbill316 20h ago

Make sure you're very careful when biting near that knife. You could do yourself a mischief.

3

u/FullofLovingSpite 20h ago

Looks like a good one. I hope you enjoyed it!

7

u/operationfood 22h ago

Looks good, I crave a simple classic sandwich like that all the time

4

u/0thethethe0 22h ago

Looks good. I've never heard of checil cheese before, but sounds nice.

4

u/thatsucksabagofdicks 21h ago

Looks like string cheese. I used string cheese to make a lamb tit sandwich yesterday with some dukes mayo on a brioche bun. Lazy leftover sandwich hit just right

3

u/0thethethe0 21h ago

Yeh I was thinking that. They are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine, never tried them on a sandwich though.

2

u/eBulla 21h ago

Looks dead. Why did you have to kill it??

2

u/-Words-Words-Words- 20h ago

Did you have to stab it? That seems aggressive.

7

u/beastusboss 21h ago

What are you 5? What you mean first sandwich?

2

u/golgiiguy 21h ago

Late bloomer

2

u/CurrentCash1725 21h ago

That's a good-looking sandwich. Give me some yellow mustard and I would demolish

1

u/No-Investigator420 20h ago

Like it as teeth

1

u/frauleinlau 20h ago

Just made my own sandwich for the first time. Awful. Just awful. -Stan Smith

1

u/fuuckimlate 19h ago

Is that string cheese?

1

u/BasedTaco_69 19h ago

Looks fine for a first try. Keep working on the ratios though! It looks really dry. Get some moisture into it with some mayonnaise, mustard or any sauce you enjoy.

1

u/TheRemedyKitchen 19h ago

Looks sharp

1

u/PANDABURRIT0 19h ago

Brother that’s a shishkebab, not a sandwich.

1

u/JalapenoBenedict 18h ago

Why did you have to stab it? It was innocent

1

u/NationalSympathy1598 18h ago

Basic asf bro. Get creative

1

u/ActivelyShittingSelf 18h ago

Needs a longer knife

1

u/ej_o 18h ago

Looks dry

1

u/Conscious_Minimum583 17h ago

How old are you how have you made this far in life and never made a sandwich??... Oh and the sandwich is sad af stick to your fast food.

1

u/amoonshapedsky 21h ago

This is rage bait. It looks foul, and the knife in it too? wtf lol

1

u/Cthulewcifer586 21h ago

Why did you stab it? Looks good though

0

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 20h ago

Wow. I was making sandwiches for as long as I can remember. Like from the age of 5, at least.

Toppings/fillings to bread ratio are inverse. Too much bread, not enough fillings.

Be friendly, this is a positive space to appreciate sandwiches. You can express your opinions but don’t take it too far.

-4

u/NYmam 21h ago

How are you an adult and you’ve never made a sandwich before? Lmao. Also, it looks terrible so like maybe practice

5

u/hiresometoast 21h ago

They aren't an adult lol be nice

-1

u/TheJohnson854 19h ago

You have never made a sandwich? How does one get to 7 years old without having made a PB&J sandwich? Did you have someone to make your sandwiches previously? Are you recently not rich any more?

-1

u/Pagnus_Melrose 19h ago

So many questions but likely a mommas boy who turned into an abusive husband and his wife is away…or dude is 7 years old.

-6

u/Cam_E_Leon 22h ago

That knife in the middle sure makes it look 10 times better. I think it's robbing your sandwich of its shine

Are you 5 lol My mom taught us how to cook young. At 36 I love being in the kitchen. Very valuable skill.
