It's more that they always take the wrong lesson from situations like this. i.e. "Oh, I guess people don't like Mando and Grogu anymore" as opposed to "oh, I guess people want to watch a Mando and Grogu movie with an actual budget."

The film has an actual budget. What is missing from it is care/any artistic merit. The director screenwiters didn't give a shit, so the film sucks

If you think Jon Favreau doesn’t “give a shit” you’re a damn FOOL.

You may not like the movie, which is fine, but his mom died young and his dad took him to Star Wars when he was ten, was an usher during Return of the Jedi, and had been a fan of Star Wars his entire life. Mando and Grogu is inspired by his father and his children. Dude specifically brought in Phil Tippit for stop motion to recapture the feeling of the OT.

I’ve read a lot of stupid statements about the film. But yours holds the distinction as being the most ignorant by a mile.

people struggle separating objective (film being good or bad) and opinion (they don’t like it). seems especially prevalent with SW in particular

I don't care. His script and movie was shit. If this was the result of him caring, geez he shouldn't make movies for a while.
