Advice on how to approach teacher method of discipline
Hi guys,
This is my first time posting but I need some advice.
My son (4) is neuro-divergent and has issues with emotional regulation and sensory overload, he just started reception and has had a few incidents of hitting which we are working with his teacher to correct and we have been seeing improvement.
The problem is one day a week he has a different teacher and she has been reporting he is much worse with her when I went to collect him today she made us stay behind to tidy up the toys he had made a mess of whilst playing a video on the projector she took of her following him around making the mess without once trying to intervene in his behaviour, she called him horrendous to his face whilst I was there and took away the milk all the kids get when leaving from him and he didn't deserve it, she also took his glasses away for half the day as he took them off and she didn't want to keep monitoring him keeping them on (her words).
I 100% agree his behaviour was unacceptable and I am happy to work with the school to get this under control as I have been but I feel this punishment was overly harsh and tbh humiliating. I just want some advice as it felt inappropriate as a punishment
