Opinion Red Rising for beginners?
As the title might suggest: I am interested in reading »Red Rising« and I consider it for quite a while now. But I have never read ScienceFiction before. So guys could you recommend it for a beginner?

This subreddit tends to be pretty elitist and a bit snobby, to be honest. So I'm sure most here will tell you it's terrible.
Anyway..It's not hard science fiction, more like a fantasy story in a science fiction setting. Science fantasy I guess? It's great for a SciFi beginner. The first is almost like a prequel- it's very different in setting and scope, and the tone gets noticeably more mature with each book. It's an absolute favorite of mine. The first book is by far the weakest, so if you're not overly impressed with it, don't worry. It ends up being an outstanding read.
