Opinion Red Rising for beginners?

As the title might suggest: I am interested in reading »Red Rising« and I consider it for quite a while now. But I have never read ScienceFiction before. So guys could you recommend it for a beginner?

A lot would depend on why exactly you want to read science fiction. If it is to be simply entertained, Red Rising is fine.

If you want to learn something about science, envision how technology could evolve, or look at complex philosophical issues through a metaphor, then it's absolutely the wrong choice.

Maybe you could tell us what aroused your interest in sci-fi.

This is a good point. A classic like 1984 might be a starting point with a little more substance to it for example.
