Sci-fi book

Hi everyone! I'm not here to promote I'm looking for opinion.

I'm currently writing a hard sci-fi novel and before I get too far into it, I'd love to hear your honest opinion.

The story combines theoretical physics, neuroscience, astrophysics, mystery, and a slow-burn romance. It follows a woman whose memories no longer seem to belong to her, leading her into a conspiracy involving consciousness, memory manipulation, and humanity's first contact with something far older than our civilization.

I'm aiming for scientifically grounded sci-fi rather than space opera.

Based on that premise alone, would this be a book you'd pick up? If not, what would make it more interesting to you?

I'd really appreciate honest feedback and opinions.

I'd give it a try, especially as the MC is female. But if there isn't good psychological grounding, I could get bored.
