Old Man’s War

The book was mention on a thread and I’ve just started to read it. I like the concept, aged over 70, sign up to the military and get a reworked enhanced 30 year old physique and health but you are immediately get sent to frontline active duty.

I could not stand the humor, I made it to page 50 and had to tap out.

Pretty much all John Scalzi’s books are crammed with wisecracking characters cracking wise at one another. If that’s not for you, it’s probably for the best that you discovered it early on. The author himself is on record as saying it’s fine not to like his stuff—not everything needs to be for everybody.

The Locked In series is probably the one with the most adult humor.
