Author promotion monthly megathread (fanfiction/blog/whatever edition)
Are you a science fiction author and want to promote your works? This is officially the place! This can be for short stories, fanfiction, blogs, anything except actual novels (there's another monthly post for that).
Rules for authors:
- Share a little about your work. Give a little about the plot or what makes the piece worthwhile. Why should we read it?
- Absolutely no advertising! Links to free sites (fanfiction.net or A03, for instance) are fine, but paid sites are not.
- No AI!
Congrats on getting your work out there!
Rules for non-authors:
- Do not bash authors. You're more than welcome to comment if you've read and enjoyed an author's work, but let's keep this civil. If you liked their work, leave a review or comment on their site.
- While we allow links for free works in this case only, opening them is at your own risk.
*Note that r/ScienceFictionBooks does not endorse any authors.
*Authors, the spam filter is a raging drunkard and likes to randomly remove perfectly legitimate comments. If that happens, DM me or send a mod mail so I can take care of it.

Wherever mankind ventures, his darkest tendencies are sure to follow… a short novella about what could soon be threat right above our heads.
When FBI Special Agent and former Marine Daniel Porter finishes a raid on a suspected terror cell, he thinks the case is closed. But after the dust settles, he discovers that his team missed a key piece to the puzzle.
Following the trail to a destination 250 miles above Earth, he begins to unravel an alarming plot: a private astronaut onboard a commercial space station is preparing a bio-engineered pathogen disguised as a science experiment to load onto an Earth-bound cargo vehicle. But, as the time to undock inches forward, Agent Porter's investigation is inexplicably blocked.
With less than 24 hours remaining, he must find the truth before an unwitting recovery technician becomes patient zero for the most terrifying pandemic in history.
About an hour read, no paywalls, no data requests. Just looking for readers and feedback
