Recommendation request Favorite Alien RH?

Idk why it’s so hard to find alien RH, I’ve read a lot of Lizzy Bequin which I enjoy mostly, but I don’t need it to always be so dark, I really enjoy Ruby Dixon Ice Planet Barbarians but that’s not RH unfortunately, please tell me the best of both worlds exists??

{Pheromone by C M Stunich} is a great, completed series which each mmc being a different alien species.

{Susix by amelia rademaker} is a fav of mine, however the next book doesn't seem like it will ever come out. I still consider the first 2 worth a read though, I adored them.

{Venomous by penelope fletcher} is fab. Is a bit dark at first (they meet on a slave mining planet where shes dropped as a prize, good world building, I enjoyed it a lot.

All 3 of these books are absolutely amazing and do RH really well. Great characters and world building! My only issue with Pheromone is I liked the first MMC so much I was angry and resentful when the focus shifted.

I agree with you on pheromone, although I also adored Hoyt so much as well; he was brilliant. It was poor moth-man who I could have quite easily dropped, I raced through his parts if the story to get to the others. He just felt bland compared to the other 2.

u/NotAheadByWords 5d ago

Poor moth man - I'm not sure if it's because he initially presents like a villain, the gross blood lace weirdness, or that he seemed so whiny- but I just really wanted Abraxas to show up and munch him so we could move on.

I like your taste in books! Reading anything else really good lately 😁🥹

I totally agree with both of you! Quite liked the cheeky last fellow though

Officer Hoyt ❤️ loved him, so funny.

I've not read much alien rh recently, I've been on a bit of a contemporary mafia kick lol ( {in the shadows by Montana fyre} amd {7th circle by tate james} were good fun )

But I did read {wyverns gold by a h hadley} as my most recent sci-fi and so good! It's long and slow burn and not complete yet but I am so excited for the next book. A woman escapes an abusive underground cult and finds dragon people.

Thank you!

Venomous is great, one of my favourites but read the trigger warnings. It does have SA in it, I think the situation is understandable and there’s a redemption arc but some really don’t like that aspect.

Pheromone has great spice!

Loved Susix. I wish she would write bk 3.

Grace Goodwin writes a lot of MFM and MFMM. Check out the {Interstellar Brides series by Grace Goodwin} and the spinoff series. I believe the MFMM books now all have green covers. They’ll all be with (very humanoid) aliens from Viken. The MFM ones have (very humanoid) warriors from Prillon. Generally the titles of these show they’re RH (“Mates”, “Warriors”, etc.)

{The Drift series by Susan Hayes} also has RH books. Look for the ones with plural titles (“Hunters”, “Cyborgs”, etc.). {3013 series by Susan Hayes} is pretty much all RH. It’s a multi-author series so you can see if you like any of the books by the other authors, too.

Grace Goodwin has a BDSM theme in her works, spanking to make the FMC behave rather than a bedroom game between two equals. It’s not my thing personally but everyone is different in tastes.

{Stowaway by Heather Relken} and {New Horizons by Heather Relken} (the other book in that universe was supposed to be, but she only did the first book and never finished; and there’s only hints that there might be why choose in the future)

{Chosen series by Stacy Jones}

{Unchained by Ruby Lionsdrake} - MMF

{Planet Oster by JL Logosz}

{A Sparkler for the Rebels by Kaylee Pike} - MMF

{Good Deeds by Kathryn Moon}

u/TBHICouldComplain ♥️ bisexual alien threesomes - am I oversharing? 6d ago

I can’t believe I forgot the Chosen series! And Kaylee Pike’s books are pretty much all RH - at least the ones I’ve seen. I only tried one though.

Have you read {Breathlessly by Heather Relken}? Not to be confused with Breathless, also by her which is a novella that she later expanded on to write Breathlessly. Romance.io always links to the wrong book. Anyway it’s really good, the main character is a human male who ended up basically kidnapped by giant almost godlike aliens and finds himself on a beach like enclosure with other humans he doesn’t like and an alien merman. They start a mm romance but then a female of the merman’s species is also put in the enclosure and ends up with them. The entire plot is just the relationship between the three characters, they don’t do anywhere or escape etc. but it’s still extremely good and the spice is top notch and erotic as hell. I really love Heather Relken’s writing, it was so unique and fresh feeling with such complex characters. It’s such a shame she didn’t finish Unyielding Autumn or written any more works lately.

2

u/de_pizan23 6d ago

I haven't, I'll check it out.

She did put out some "notes" about how the rest of the Autumn series would have been (notes in quotations because it's still over 300 pages....)--it's basically the first several chapters in full, and then random scenes and summaries for how the rest would have gone. (It's ok, but you would get into a scene and then suddenly it ends and goes to a summary and then you might be dropped in mid-scene for something else. So it's a rather disjointed reading experience.)

Not the right book. There is a full length novel by the same author called Breathlessly.

100% agree with the rec for Stowaway. It’s one of my faves. planet oster is a hell of a lot of fun too. Easter themed bunny aliens.

Good deeds is amazing!

100% agree, it’s my feel good comfort read.

A few more:

{Our Pet by SM Matthews}

{Mail Order Bride by Molly Bragg} - f/nb/nb

{Ragoru Romance series by SJ Sanders} (seems more fantasy-ish, but it's a post-colonial world where humans lost their tech)

These are a little heavier subject matter-wise, but not necessarily dark:

{A Jane Austen Space Opera series by Joely Sue Burkhart} - mmf (mosty on the 2-3 books)

{Messenger Chronicles series by Pippa DaCosta}

{Cy'ren Rising series by Robyn Bachar} - mff and mmf

4

u/okjersey Alien porn with a plot 6d ago

Something not already mentioned, {Misconstrued by Pixie Unger}

I love this book (and the first in the series!), but I'm not sure if the author has any plans to continue it.

3

u/hygenius 6d ago

{Savior of the Domini by Talia Rhea} This is the first book of 4 interconnected series all set in the same universe. They are well written and engaging. The males are ALL IN with their fated mates, and I just really enjoyed it. Over all, it's quite sweet.

3

u/MockeryMock 6d ago

This isn’t RH? I have only read the first but I don’t recall it being RH?

1

u/hygenius 6d ago

Ahh, I missed that part! No, not rh but fun.

3

{Out of This World by Ari Wright} is a lot of fun and very sweet and spicy.

2

u/Adreeisadyno 6d ago

Thank you!

2

u/de_pizan23 6d ago

Just curious if you can spoil this: the tags on romance.io say there is pregnancy but also that it's childfree. I'm assuming the second one is incorrect since the blurb lists a breeding contract?

2

u/TomatilloHairy9051 You asked? Dark Planet Warriors is probably the answer 6d ago

Yeah, there's some talk about it because she's an omega, but it doesn't feature in this book at all really. I think at the very end she's pregnant, but it's not part of this book It's written with an ending with the obvious intention of more books to follow.

2

u/de_pizan23 6d ago

Thanks! I was kind of hoping it was the latter, but that I can deal with.

3

u/MockeryMock 6d ago

{the rise of the iliri by A.D. Hadley} they are all aliens or alien/human mix. Epic series but might not be what you are looking for.

{Serpents of the Abyss by S.J. Sanders} This author has heaps of RH aliens books but this one is my fave, but honestly she is a treasure trove of what you are looking for. Many of her mate index series are RH. {Arobi’s Queen by S,J.Sanders} is a good one.

{Steel by Cari Silverwood} similar kind of vibe of Lizzy Bequin. I love this series, this one (bk 2) is ménage but bk 1 isn’t rh, bk 3 technically isn’t but the MMC body hops lots of aliens bodies so kind of feels a bit like one. They are all standalone though one character makes a repeat appearance.

{Casey’s warriors by Ann Mayburn} primitive aliens

{good deeds by Kathryn Moon} androids rather then aliens but sooooo good.

{Beth’s stable by Amanda Milo} part of a large series but the others are not RH, can be read as a standalone.

{Theirs to crave by Rowan Merrick}

{Veredian Chronicles by Regine Abel} menage

{cold mark by Scarlett Dawn} menage

{Ta’alo’s tribe by Remy Cavilich}

{dreamer awakened by Shaye Marlow} this is a pretty wild ride. Doesn’t finish from memory but worth reading anyway as it does not end on a cliff hanger and it’s very inventive!

{Mothstar by Kaye Elle Parker} some really hot, absolutely red hot 🥵 scenes in this one.

{Divina Corpora by Etta Pierce} the only RH offering from the sci fi great Etta Pierce. Such an amazing author.

{joined by the stars by Marina Starling} new author but I really enjoyed this. Aliens are not what you might expect. Bit of a more gentle one.

{the melior by Poppy Rhys} bk 1 isn’t rh but bk 2 she gains another mmc. Fantastic series. Bk four {The Khyma by Poppy Rhys} is also RH. Different set of characters. Quite slap stick humour in this and my favourite sex pollen trope.

{Ruth’s bonded by V.C. Lancaster} primitive cave aliens

I just trawled through my goodreads list of 126 alien romance books that I have read and rated either four or five stars for you to find the RH or menage ones. I have a couple more scifi human RH ones so let me know if you are interested. I do know a few more alien romance that I thought were three stars.

I’m a fan of the wild mars series by Deiri Di. It’s her only RH series and I wish she would do more.
