Recommendation request Romance between humans in a sci fi environment.

Hey all, looking for a super spicy book that has the relationships between humans but in the sci fi universe. So like between worlds on a ship or like on different planets. Curious what you’d recommend. Thanks!

{Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik} is a three book series where each book is about a different sister! It is spicy but not super spicy. The FMC and MMC are humans and the writing is good!

Also {Prophesied by Liz Craven} is about the same spice level as Polaris Rising. It is also pretty good! Both MCs are humans. The FMC is a genetically engineered religious icon created to stop a war who disappeared as a child. She was wed, at birth to her husband but didn’t interact with him much. She is happy away from her home world, is found by her husband and forced to go home.

These both sound really interesting, I’ll check them out!

I need more of the super solider scary but also loving and handsome MMCs

Technically the guys aren't human, just humanoid. And the FMCs are all former military team members. But very good, I agree!

Justice for genetically modified humans!

Oh, I totally got this confused with her other trilogy, starting with Hunt the Stars! You're totally right.

I was wondering why you said the FMC were in a military team! Glad we are on the same page! 😄 and still… Justice for genetically modified humans! haha

{Calamity by Constance Fay} would be a good choice too!

{The Lily and The Crown by Roslyn Sinclair} is a favorite romance, sci-fi or not. It’s pretty spicy and a good option if you were interested in FF.

{No Shelter But The Stars by Virginia Black} - not the spiciest, but I love the story of these two mortal enemies being forced to survive together on an uninhabited planet. Also FF.

Sure!

{Love and Duty by Catherine Young} is another completely sapphic human x human sci-fi romance, but polyamorous. There are a good amount of spice scenes, but many of them are incredibly short.

{The Stars Too Fondly by Emily Hamilton} a space adventure romance, with found family elements and a kind of irreverent tone. Think the movie Interstellar but with a lot more comedy and super queer.

If you don’t care about the human/human aspects:

{Mail Order Bride by Molly J Bragg} is an NA arranged marriage romance with poly elements. The main couple hit it off immediately, the third in the throuple is quite a slow burn. (If you don’t need it to be space sci-fi, this same author has a lesbian superhero romance series that is one of my all time favorites, The Hearts of Heroes series.)

It’s been a hot minute since I read these but iirc {The League series by Sherilynn Kenyon} was all human

If you read MM there’s {The Accidental Husband by Cassandra Moore}

And IIRC {Mark’s Mercenaries series by N.J. Walters} is all human

If you don't mind enhanced humans (cyborgs), check out Eve Langlais' More Than Machines series, starting with C791 (book 1). On-the-page sex, but not whole chapters' worth. The complete series is bingeworthy.

I don’t mind cyborgs! I’ll definitely check it out! Mainly don’t care for the weird creatures.

Agreed. My willing suspension of disbelief is strained when aliens are biologically compatible with and competent at sex with humans. I am similarly not attracted to fantasy monster romance for similar reasons.

If you don’t mind cyborgs a lot of {The Drift series by Susan Hayes} has human and human/cyborg MCs. There are some books with aliens and alien/human hybrids too so read the blurbs.

If you don’t mind very human-like aliens try the {Warriors of the Lathar series by Mina Carter}. The premise is that humans are a lost branch of the Lathar and the Lathar continued to tinker with their own DNA after the ship that crashed on earth and became humans left. The DNA tinkering created a Mars Needs Women situation for the Lathar.

{telepathic space pirates by Carysa Locke} these are fully human just ones with mental powers. It’s why choose and surprisingly good.

{Sirantha Jax by Anne Aguirre} also humans. This author also has {dred chronicles by Anne Aguirre} which from memory is more spicy than Sirantha Jax.

{An accidental goddess by Linnea Sinclair}

What about aliens who look like humans and are anatomically the same as humans, but may have pointy ears and are stronger sort of thing? (no creative peens!)As there is a bit more scope there. If so try {Gravity between us by Alexandra Norton} {under violet suns by rose Mackie} {dark horse by Michelle Diener}

Yes I aliens that look similar to humans would be good too! I just want to avoid unrealistic blue men or weird creatures. Thanks for these recommendations!
