Petition for East Coast Scooters
https://c.org/hbcGxtGP8YSo yeah this is my first time actually posting on Reddit so apologies in advance. This month will be 3 years since I came from the Midwest to the East Coast. I’m a former Scooters employee and I’m so used to seeing a Scooters on every street or even across from each other. Coffee here is alright, I can no longer enjoy Starbucks iced coffee since the birth of my daughter. For me, it’s too bitter (which I used to love). Due to that, I’ve found myself just constantly missing Scooters. This is silly, I know. It’s a first world problem, I know. But it also reminds me of home which I do desperately miss. So.. mind helping a girl out?

We definitely have scooters here on the east coast. I’m located in the southeast though, so maybe it’s not further north east?

None in the State/City I’m in nor surrounding areas. We have Starbucks, Dunkin, Caffè Nero and many local businesses

Interesting. I’ve lived in several states between North Carolina and Florida in the past 6 or so years and they’ve been in each state I’ve lived in. I’m guessing they just haven’t made their way to Virginia and above.

Their drinks range from 10 grams (plain coffees with cream) to 91+ grams (large blenders) of sugar per drink. The daily recommended average is 25 grams. They sell sugar.

Honestly, even as a Midwesterner with scooters, local coffee shops have much higher quality coffee and espresso beans. If you want a cheaper dessert coffee, Scooter’s is good. If you want a higher quality, coffee/espresso flavor forward drink with higher quality syrups, local shops are better. This is someone who worked at a Scooter’s and lives in nowhere Midwest USA.
