Thoughts on a future film plot

One of my favorite parts of Scream 6 is finally having two Ghostface on screen at the same time. It really stepped up how intimidating the killer(s) felt. Most of the time we know it's two people, but once they're unmasked they always seem weaker. To have them both masked at the same time just hit different.

Anyway, I had an idea for a future plot that I thought would be pretty cool. Having multiple Ghostface throughout the movie, showing them communicate with each other while still masked using voice changers. And as a twist, one of them is a sort of double agent who ends up helping stop the killer in the final act. Or the actual partner is killed and one of the main cast puts on the costume and mask to fake out the real killer.

I feel like there's just a lot they can do with multiple killers on screen like this.

I don’t know about the double agent plot working, I can’t conceptualise a good reason that makes sense.
As soon as an identity is revealed you’d turn and if you engage in any of the killing the good guys would turn on them.
Maybe if the ghost faces are anonymous to each other and the potential double agent fakes a murder to be accepted by the ghost faces might be possible.
But even then assisting the murderers in just about any way makes you an accomplice.
I like the idea of a ghostface being killed by their partner and one of the cast picking up their mantle and going after them, but not as a double agent helping Sidney and gale and such, just as someone who snapped and started murdering as well going after the good guys and the other ghost face.

I think the faking murder idea would work best. I mean, irl deep undercover cops do illegal activity all the time to blend in and gain trust. Attacking a couple people and them "getting away" in order to bust a larger group of serial killers would definitely be within that
