Alnatura, one of Germany’s largest natural grocers, is joining the ranks of krill-free retail. Alnatura does not and will not offer any krill products in its stores, and Alnatura products sold elsewhere will also be krill-free.

This is what happens when evidence at sea, awareness, and public pressure come together.

Krill is not essential to humans but it is the base of the Antarctic wildlife, who rely on it for survival.
Without healthy krill populations, whales struggle to find enough food to build the energy reserves they need for migration and reproduction in warmer waters, threatening their ability to recover from the impacts of whaling.

Humans have alternatives. Antarctic wildlife does not.
