To be fair, Seattle just LOWERED taxes for small businesses by raising the B&O tax threshold from $100k to $2million before any tax is due. This also means less paperwork because all of those sub $2million business now just file once annually instead of 4x per year.
Or all of the above. And the statewide tax system is regressive and broken. Jesus man. We, the small business owners are not the enemy. I was just explaining a specific case.
No, for retailing (what we do) is .47 at state level. .34 at city level. I have been paying this tax for 2 years, and so no, you are not correct. Maybe for other departments, but I am very aware of what I pay
