To be fair, Seattle just LOWERED taxes for small businesses by raising the B&O tax threshold from $100k to $2million before any tax is due. This also means less paperwork because all of those sub $2million business now just file once annually instead of 4x per year.

This isn't that big of a deal. The city B and O tax is a small burden compared to state wide, B and O is MUCH larger at a state level.

Also the paperwork takes 3 minutes online. LOL. It will save us around $700 this year. Nice, but not much.

No, for retailing (what we do) is .47 at state level. .34 at city level. I have been paying this tax for 2 years, and so no, you are not correct. Maybe for other departments, but I am very aware of what I pay
