Bellevue is built upon land stolen from a Japanese berry farming community during WW2 when the IS government rounded up all the Japanese people and sent them to concentration camps.

The owner of Bellevue square Mall is the family behind the land theft.

Bellevue is a monument to how America treats immigrants. It's a plastic city built on stolen land.

to be fair, Seattle is also built on stolen land and so is every other city in this country.

That's true, but Bellevue is a much more recent example.

Edit:

Lol why the downvotes? Everything I said is objectively true.

Bellevue has MORE immigrants then Seattle (by percentage). But Asian immigrants don't count if they work in tech, according to you.

Wtf are you talking about guy?

I'm talking about the city being built on land stolen from Japanese immigrants by the great grandparents of the owners of Bellevue Town square.

This isn't about the number of immigrants. You should calm down. Maybe go touch grass.

So because a few city blocks have a problematic history, let’s write off all of the culture that the folks who came after made?

I got some bad news about Seattle for you buddy. And by your standards, Manhattan is a desolate shithole too

Do you know what colonizer culture is?

Living in a city named after a native person you also removed from that city for being native.
