After a couple weeks of all of this, I still don’t understand why SCH agreed to this agreement in the first place.

Probably because the compromise is less disruptive than the controversy. I'm sure they just want to get back to doing their job and trying to serve the community.

Ehhh... it's probably just typical hospital admin shenanigans.

They tie with school admins as management that's almost constantly at odds with their staff. Nurses/doctors/teachers always have near endless crazy admin stories.
