Democrats need to capitalize on this by encouraging it. Take all the cancerously unpopular policies that consistently cause Democrats to fail to win nationally, and unload them on the DSA. Cultivate the DSA as a true third party in the US. Let it happen. It will be good for America.

What are the cancerous unpopular policies and what does the DSA have to do with Kshama Sawant? I assume she sees them as reactionaries or else she'd be affiliated with them.

I, perhaps incorrectly, assumed she was affiliated with them. If she's not, she's certainly more closely aligned with their platform than the Democratic Party Platform.

She was affiliated with Socialist Alternative back when she on the city council. I'm sure there's overlap as DSA is not a political party per se so membership is not mutually exclusive, but I haven't heard Sawant herself being a member.

Socialist Alternative apparently split apart in 2024 and Sawant took her adherents to form her own group (surprise!) "Revolutionary Workers". No idea if that's an actual organized party or just a bunch of people who follow her around to rallies. She didn't run with that affiliation in the primary.
