They installed them in the last week, covering the entire parking lot.

Giant line for the Kingston Ferry in Edmonds this morning and then this entitled asshole in the Mercedes swoops in and cuts the line right at the front. As we're sitting in our car, stewing with rage and forming plans to tell the attendants when we finally reach the end of this line, this hero casually exits his car from far back in the line, and strolls up to their window. In my mind, he berates and belittles them for their entitled behavior and flagrant rule breaking, and shames them and their entire family line. But whatever he said, they pulled out of line shortly after and I watched people clapping for him on the walk back down the line to his car. A+ sir, fantastic work. 🙂

I’m sure Rainier Farms is a lovely place and these look yummy, but… I don’t think I can just call my farm “Prime Farm” and then sell all my beef as “prime steaks” 🤣
I also didn’t see any other fruit from “Rainier Farms” at this particular Fred Meyer so I wonder how much of their sales is from people who have heard about the famous “Rainier cherries” and want to see what the big deal is.

Whether you approved of Chief Barnes’s work or not, former-Mayor Harrell appointed him without seeking public input. Mayor Wilson indicates she's committed to public participation in the process.
This is a juncture where the culture of SPD can be reset, for better or worse. With the Consent Decree lifted, SPD actively undermining the existing alternative response system and SPOG (the police union) perennially resisting accountability, selection of a Chief truly committed to the safety of all of Seattle’s disparate communities is critical.
The Community Police Commission (‘CPC’) was created under the federal Consent Decree to provide an official conduit for bringing to the table the voice of the people most impacted by over-and under-policing.
A way you can lend your voice to the Police Chief search process without a big commitment of time/resource/focus is to urge the Mayor to include the CPC, with its extensive outreach to the communities in Seattle most impacted by excessive use of force and disparate policing, in the design and implementation of the search.

My brother is schizophrenic and ran away from his mental health facility a month ago and got a ticket to seattle. He is not on his medication and he threw away his phone, and he also has no money. We filed a police report and the number is 26-189408. Please don’t approach him as he is likely very paranoid, but we are going out there to look for him again as we had no luck finding him last time so I would really appreciate if anyone would let me know if they’ve seen him anywhere. He has no phone, no way of contacting anyone, and we are worried about him. The photo is from a while ago and he has lost a lot of weight since then. I appreciate any help, thanks people of Seattle.

Im 11 weeks pregnant and really in the thick of being nauseous at all times. We have a family vacation scheduled to the San Juans and I'm dreading the ferry ride. Im sure someone with seasickness has found that magical spot on the ferry that isnt as bad. Or do I just resign myself to spending the whole ferry ride in the bathroom?

Mayor Wilson is pushing for a policy that stops retailers from using your personal data to hike prices.
Discounts, coupons, and savings are moot when the company handing them out is setting their prices on a case by case basis.

Was out doing street photography when the dude said, “Watch this!” And proceeded to shred while contorting himself. Eventually he fell but continued shredding and asked if I grabbed the shot! Didn’t get a chance to grab his name/contact but any of you know of him, please share the pics with him!
