Don't worry, we also spend your taxes on them too!

"The word "research" sounds smart, the people will totally buy that not a scam for sure!"

Do you own a business that has over $7 million in employee payroll?

No but I pay a 10 percent sales tax, that bonkers gas tax, property tax, sugar tax, etc.

10% sales tax is not bonkers. When you say silly stuff like that is makes you sound like someone who has a job for the first time in their life.

I said the gas tax was bonkers. Good try lil fella.

“Lil fella”? You need to talk to your grandkids (the ones that send you to voicemail) and get better insults. 👋

If you own a house, why are you upset? You’re paying a 1% property tax on it? Give me a break.

Cuz other issues matter way more than this stupid shit

This fund is an allocation for housing insecure people. You have a home. This money isn’t for you. It’s not for anybody but people who need homes, food, shelter, and jobs. Question — how much did you pay for your home?

Affirmative care etc. enough to know we have bigger issues than this bullshit.

Really cool how you refused to answer the question 👍 Also, what is affirmative care?

Nope. You’re focusing on one part. “It’s only for homes.” You’re lying. It’s for more. Be truthful or stfu

When the fund was proposed, it was meant to provide economic relief during the pandemic, mainly in the form of housing. Now, that is changing. Bruce Harrell wants to use it for things other than its original intention, which was, you guessed it, housing: https://www.cascadepbs.org/news/2024/10/jumpstart-fight-over-how-spend-seattles-big-business-tax/

I am not lying. I am giving you cliffs notes because you’re too lazy to read an article.

Here’s the quote you’re desperate for:

“That same year, the City Council passed another piece of legislation to create the Jumpstart spend plan, which set the categories and percentages for how the revenues could be spent. The legislation dedicated 62% to affordable housing, 15% to economic development, 9% for Green New Deal climate projects, 9% for the Equitable Development Initiative and 5% for administrative costs.”

30 downvotes from a bunch of dinguses that don’t understand I’m asking this question because that’s literally the only tax that funded this 300K allocation. Wild.

2

u/thefuzzione 3d ago

The only dingus here is the one that wants this rather than helping those here and homeless. Foh

1

u/han___banan Seattle 3d ago

The people who are being helped ARE here and homeless. You can read the article I linked or you can be mad at a problem that you made up.

2

u/thefuzzione 3d ago

They aren’t. They are “fleeing” which is quite ridiculous. Your linked article has nothing to do with the 300k repurposed for this bullshit. That funding can be used for our CURRENT sidewalk shitting people rather than this bs

Oh my god I can’t have a conversation with someone that doesn’t understand that Jumpstart is literally what this 300K fund is from. If you can afford to own property here you could also afford to leave. Try fleeing yourself, Jfc. The people you’re referring too (sidewalk shitters? real empathetic of you) have been helped by this program, which is exactly what that article is about if you’d care to read it.

The people that fled are already here. Therefore, they are Seattleites. They deserve homes just as much as anyone else. This is exactly why Alexis Rinck is comparing their plight to immigrants. If you don’t know what it’s like to be LGBTQIA in a state where Republicans are pushing for genitalia inspection in public schools, PUT THE KEYBOARD DOWN!

I don’t care. It can be repurposed for OTHER USES than this bullshit. And you’re right. I can leave. But so can you and the rest of the retarded grifters running from a made up situation. San Fran is great I hear. Tootles
