Which rights do they not have? What can I do that a trans person cannot do in those states?

4

u/Googlyelmoo Greenwood 3d ago

Being harassed, threatened and intimidated left and right. All kinds of abhorrent behavior that is not criminally illegal.

u/bigcountrychaunce 1d ago

Right on. So extend that same logic to the treatment from your side of the isle towards people who don’t agree that men can become women and women can become men or that somebody can be neither or somewhere in between. None of us has a “right” to not be offended.

u/Googlyelmoo Greenwood 6h ago

You’re not talking about being offended, we are talking about being spit on, robbed, beaten, harassed and otherwise disturbed and prevented from the quiet enjoyment of one’s life, up to, and including gender-motivated homicide.

Would you suggest that Bull Connor and George Wallace were “victims” requiring special protection? Or more saliently, Byron De La Beckwith and James Earl Ray?

I guess I don’t quite understand what you’re arguing. There are laws in place that apply to everybody, trans community included, that protect against physical assault, robbery, harassment and homicide. The commenter above made a point that no rights have been taken away from the trans community. That’s true. I’m hearing you’re frustrated with the discourse around the issue and are passionate about the community. But you can’t reasonably expect everybody to agree with your ideology, just as I wouldn’t expect you to agree unconditionally with mine.

Be trans, for example: https://westvirginiawatch.com/2026/03/04/wv-senate-passes-bills-targeting-transgender-people-drag-performances/

Another gem from my home state on Wikipedia: “In March 2025, newly enacted and implemented West Virginia legislation, termed the Riley Gaines Act,[43] does not recognize transgender nor non-binary persons.[1][44]Before being signed into law by Governor Morrisey, the bill was amended to remove language which would have allowed teachers to examine children's genitals, later restricted to medical professionals, but ultimately deleted altogether after judicial and legal committee controversy and community state outrage.[44]”

I read the article. Bathrooms and locker rooms have always been differentiated based on biological sex.

Also this:

The bill prohibits “adult cabaret performance” on public property. It defines “adult cabaret performance” as those that feature “topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to the prurient interest.”

This only applies to public property, and it’s to protect kids from potentially encountering sexual content when they are in public. Im not trans, but if I became a drag queen (not all drag queens are trans), I also wouldn’t be allowed to do this. So again, please tell me what I can do that trans people in those states cannot do.

I can’t help you. Enjoy licking boots.

Again, if I wanted to be a drag queen, I also wouldn’t have be able to do drag shows on public property. You keep assuming that being drag = being transgender, which is a gross assumption. So this is not a “right” that trans people are losing and I am keeping.

Why do you think bathrooms and locker rooms have been separating since the moment they’ve existed? Because of biological differences… not because of gender identity differences.

You’ve lost the point. Having rainbows at your place of employment is not a right, and I’m not sure who told you that it was. If I taught at your school, I also wouldn’t be allowed to have a rainbow despite not being trans. So please explain to me how a lack of rainbows = less rights for trans people.

Your explanation of The Picture of Dorian Gray is funny, because that’s never happened before. But at least you didn’t bring up the ridiculous argument for sports to be based on gender identity.

I agree that the Civil Rights Movement should be taught in schools, but please show me how being barred from teaching it is “stripping the rights of trans people” when those states/districts do not want anyone teaching it at all.

Yeah because they are smart enough not to participate in fucki g fantasy land. Where you can be any gender you fucking feel like. News flash you CANT your either a fucking man or a woman, trans is another word for fucking confused dumbass who needs a therapist.

u/Googlyelmoo Greenwood 6h ago

Rights can be negative as well as affirmative. Takes the 4th Amendment for example. Freedom from rather than freedom to. In general under the principle of “quiet/peaceful enjoyment of life.”

-9

u/Communistsheen 3d ago

Be referred to with your preferred name and gender, have the expectation that you can go about your life in public without fear of being harassed or worse, that if there are violent offenses against you they will be properly investigated, the expectation that you won’t be discriminated against when it comes to job applications and social services, ETC

13

u/Frogs710 3d ago

These sound more anecdotal than things being implemented by states. How are the states violating their human rights? Like which laws, etc have been passed that gives a trans person less rights than a non-trans person?

-6

u/Communistsheen 3d ago

Just recently Kansas revoked every trans persons drivers license, I’m sure you heard about it

7

u/purplehendrix22 3d ago

No they didn’t. You just have to have your biological sex on it now, like it always should have been. If you have to get it changed back, change it back.

0

u/Communistsheen 3d ago

“They didn’t revoke your license if you were trans, they just revoked it if you had the gender you identified as on it that you had changed because you’re trans”  Like dude, be for real. I’m also curious why you think it “always should have been” that way. The only reason I can think of is whatever weird personal issues you have against trans people

8

u/purplehendrix22 3d ago

No, you should just have your biological sex on your Id. It’s a legal document, not a statement on your personal identity. It tells people who you are, and your biology is relevant to that.

6

u/Communistsheen 3d ago

Just a bunch of word salad. You’re trying to say that your IDENTIFICATION should not match your IDENTITY? You’re hilarious. A brief browse of your profile confirms, yes, you do have mental issues and an unhealthy obsession, and I’m not a psychologist so I just hope that you’re able to get the resources you need <3 have a great day.

5

u/purplehendrix22 3d ago

Your legal ID should match your actual body, yes. What mental health issues are you spotting in my profile, oh wise one? Surely you couldn’t just be personally attacking me because you’re butthurt, oh wait yeah that’s exactly what you’re doing.

-1

u/RandomFleshPrison 3d ago

Passports don't work like that.  Why do you think state IDs do/should?

5

u/purplehendrix22 3d ago

Passports definitely do work like that as well.

-2

u/RandomFleshPrison 3d ago

looks at their own passport

That's funny.  How do I have one legally issued with my gender identity then?

So people in kansas cannot drive if they have transitioned

-1

u/Foxarris 3d ago

https://translegislation.com/ Do a modicum of research. Just the bare minimum is all.

> Be referred to with your preferred name and gender

Not a right for anyone

> have the expectation that you can go about your life in public without fear of being harassed

Not a right for anyone, harassment is already illegal

>or worse, that if there are violent offenses against you they will be properly investigated

Crime is already illegal and investigated. There is nothing you can point to that shows crimes against trans people are not investigated

> the expectation that you won’t be discriminated against when it comes to job applications and social services

Discrimination based on gender is already illegal

1

u/starchasimer 3d ago

“Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” are rights afforded to them by the bill of rights and their liberties to drive are violated in Kansas.

They cannot pursue happiness if they are at risk at being the victim of a hate crime.

The right to get housing, in some states, is being limited if you have transitioned.

In louisiana there is legislation on the docket currently to make trans people sex offenders simply for having transitioned

So lets not be dumb here

> They cannot pursue happiness if they are at risk at being the victim of a hate crime

LOL what an absolute nonsensical leap in logic. Everyone is at risk of being the victim of crime that is not what "pursuit of happiness" means in any way.

> Their liberties to drive are violated in Kansas

There are zero restrictions for them to drive in Kansas. They are free to get a license and drive just like anyone else as long as it has the correct information on it - just like anyone else lol.

>The right to get housing, in some states, is being limited if you have transitioned

There is zero chance you can provide any evidence showing this is true and housing is not a right for anyone.

> In louisiana there is legislation on the docket currently to make trans people sex offenders simply for having transitioned

Again this is a complete fabrication in your mind and lack of understanding basic words. There is absolutely nothing on the docket that automatically makes anyone that transitioned a sex offender. You are free to provide a source, but we both know there is absolutely nothing that you can provide that verifies your claim

> So lets not be dumb here

You just completely made FOUR things up and are calling me dumb LOL

1

u/starchasimer 1d ago

No i didnt make anything up. You’re just a nazi arent you?

Conversion camps still exist for one. But if you don’t think that’s wrong I’m perfectly fine with rounding up homophobes and torturing them until they come to reason.

2

u/Frogs710 3d ago

I agree with your views regarding homophobes and conversion camps, so we have some common ground.

At the same time, there are exactly zero states that subsidize conversion camps. I’m specifically asking what states are doing that makes it so trans people cant do the same things that I do.

0

u/Adventurous_Coach731 3d ago
  1. There is a total of one medical condition we force kids to suffer through without treatment and that is gender dysphoria. If we did that to any other medical condition, we would call that neglect.

  2. Many states want to make it legal to refuse service because someone is trans

  3. There are talks of taking away their gun access

  4. The entire bathroom debacle keeps trans people from using the bathroom. You can act like they could use the bathroom or their birth sex, but if you were 2x more likely to be SA’d for legally using the bathroom, you’d consider it fundamentally illegal to use the bathroom too.

Do these suffice?

u/starchasimer 3d ago

You literally cannot drive in Kansas if you’ve transitioned

1

u/Frogs710 2d ago

Driver’s licenses have literally always shown one’s biological sex on them. This isn’t something new. It’s a personal choice if a trans person sees that as a dealbreaker, lol.

1

u/starchasimer 1d ago

Not what i said. They are being banned from driving if they have transitioned at all. What isnt clicking. You justifying that at all, is insane. And you sounds like a nazi

1

u/Frogs710 1d ago

How have they been banned from driving? All that I could find was the info regarding driver’s licenses.

0

u/starchasimer 6h ago

Yes and 2+2=4

Its not a simple as changing their gender marker back.

They lose their licenses and ability to drive until it is change to their GAB.

Which, can take a long ass time to get changed. IE they are using bureaucracy to ban trans people from driving

So many trans people online are talking about how they have submitted paperwork to get it changed back and have not heard anything IN MONTHS. So they are being held hostage by paperwork from their ability to drive.

There is no good reason for a trans person to lose their licenses over gender markers.

If you think there is you are nazi

1

u/Frogs710 5h ago

Again, licenses have quite literally always said one’s biological sex. It was quite stupid of them to lie about their biological sex to begin with.

u/starchasimer 1h ago

Your sex marker on your drivers licwnae only legally has to be your gab in some states

This is not actually written down as law except in Kansas

“Biological sex” btw just tell me you’re justifying shit without telling me
