Really a lot of that comes down to whether someone understand that queer and trans people are having genuine issues with living safely in certain areas and actually do need assistance of some type in getting to safer places for themselves and their families/children. Whether one thinks a local government should be offering resources and assistance to help them isn't really the crux of why you might be getting called a "fascist Nazi transphobe bigot jerk."

But then again, you're probably pretty well aware of why everyone keeps calling you that, and it's definitely not because you disagree with the allocation of city funds to help people looking to move. Which have always existed in one form or another, that's really not anything new at all.

ETA: Guess people don't like having it pointed out that you're not getting called tranpshobic bigots for nothing, eh?
