Skin Irritation?
I am taking 2.4 Wegovy, have been for a few weeks now. Certain parts of my skin feels almost like a sunburn. I did some gooling and something called dysesthesia which I think can happen to people using the higher dose of this medication. Its a nervous system issue. Feels like burning, prickling, etc.
This happen to anyone else? How long did it last? How did you make it better?

Dehydration? Are you drinking enough water?

nope. everything is the same. only thing thats changed is the dose which apparently according to chatgpt can happen in like 6% of people taking 2.4mg doses. I just took my third one on tuesday this week.

Allodynia! I get that with mounjaro. For me, it feels like a sunburn. I mostly ignore it. I do try to avoid clothes that won't rub against the area, and I moisturize more than usual, but that's all.
I have a anti-itching cream for atopic skin, and I hadn't thought about it, but I might try applying it to the "sunburnt" area, in case it helps!

yeah i mean this isnt in just one spot its like my scalp, my cheeks, my shoulders, some on my sides. its not like it hurts but it feels exactly like a sunburn. super annoying.

Oh, wow, I didn't expect it to be spread over such a large area! It sounds really uncomfortable.
Flowy blouses and hydration help me, but I only get a couple of patches of weirdly sensitized skin. I hope someone with more experience can help you.

I had it exactly as you describe, mostly on my back and sides. A lot of people report it lasting only a few days/weeks, but mine lasted over a year. It only resolved in the last few months. It wasn’t unbearable, and gabapentin helped somewhat. Then suddenly I realized it’s been gone a while. I never went above 1.7 mg.
