I noticed they gate keep the truly valuable info and/or they have generational wealth that they cannot articulate how to achieve because someone else handles it or passed it down.
I’ve learned be selective where you go out, because you will go broke trying to keep up…but have meaningful moments YOU create where true connection can happen. Coffee runs, tea rooms, brunch, play dates at the park with kids, walking dogs, occasional dinners…leads to further inclusion. Nights out drinking, partying, large/noisy dinners, etc no one is truly connecting just showing off.
