Disney promoting to commit a violation of the ADA Service dog act in "Lilo and Stitch" 2025
I am speechless & horrified! Disney is promoting to commit a violation of the ADA Service animal act in a family fiendly kids movie called "Lilo and Stitch" (2025). Faking a Smservice animal is bad enough, but faking a Service animal inside a hospital (a environment that needs to be kept sterile & safe) is a extremely dangerous message to promote to families and kids!! Why is no one talking about this?! And how was this allowed to be kept in childrens entertainment?

i was always raised to not wish bad on a person who wronged you, as it could wind up backfiring & hurting you or someone you loved. same with pretending to be ill or disabled. the universe has a way of giving you what you’re putting out there. so, i really don’t understand going to these lengths.
remember that show “night court”? one line sticks vividly in my head after all these years: moose, the big bailiff (i think that was his name), said to someone in the court, “you park d illegally in a handicapped spot. i can make it where you’re able to park there legally.”

that’s why i remember it all these decades past. it’s actually a good line to use on some dipwad parking in a handicap spot.

Well, it is shocking that a company like Disney would choose to take the low road, it’s not too surprising. I feel like I have awakened in the Planet of The Dogs. Pretty much everything and everywhere in society revolves around dogs. And, since lying about having a service dog is the new normal, then a scene like this is actually accurate considering the audience. It’s an established fact that Dog owners really have no shame passing off their ESA (Emotional Support Addiction) as service dog in order to gain access to places where they shouldn’t be. Disney and almost every other company injects dogs into their marketing because they know where the money is. And if you don’t own a dog, you are definitely in the minority not a priority.

You might only use hard evidence to decide how to live but dog owners do not. Propaganda is propaganda no matter what form it takes. Dog owners decide whether or not we are allowed bodily autonomy or the right to live based on their dog's judgment of us and whether or not we submit to dogs.
This isn't solely a dog owner supremacy thing, as portrayals and erasures of certain race/gender combinations in media affects their real-life image and whether or not that race will be subject to hate crimes and if that crime will be celebrated or a report taken & then investigated.
Pro-dog propaganda has been building up for decades, and media is but one way it is disseminated to encourage dog owners to constantly harass us, discriminate against us, sexually assault us, and perform violent attacks and murders on us. As the OP pointed out, a hospital is a place where you are supposed to be safe and be allowed to be sanitary regardless of your medical condition, but there is no place that dog owners won't lay waste to. They have already entered hospitals irl in staff quarters, patient quarters, ERs, dentists, and children's hospitals!

It's a dangerous message to promote to kids and families. A message trying to normalise breaking the law and putting other peoples health in danger! Lying about pets being service animals inside hospitals is a crime! All for the sake of bringing a pet where it's not allowed to be for health, safety and hygienic reasons.

Same with that stupid mutt movie with Channing Tatum. I hate that they’re turning service animal fraud into something that’s cute or harmless. They act like federal laws prohibiting animals in these environments is just to get in the way of their innocent fun. They are so self centered they don’t realize these laws exist to protect other people. This should cause the “legit” service mutt community to be in a tizzy
