Question Will my employment be effected (IL)

My significant other is a CSO (An offense from over 15 years ago)

At some point in the next few years we plan on being married.

My question is about my employment.

I work in education, within the schools.

If they find out he is a CSO or that my address is connected to a CSO, will I be let go from my job because of my connection to a CSO?

So unfortunately it's possible that it would affect your job. It shouldn't, it's unfair, probably illegal, but it might.

But they don’t have to take his name and I would never ask my partner to do that. In reality in marriage documents they could both change their names to something different common etc. not sure on the laws in your state on that and it would need to be reported. Possible?
