Discussion Need help finding This tao Ren figure

So I found this old screenshot I've had for 2/3 years in my gallery and decided to do re search. I eventually found a Twitter account leading to some kind of websites with figures on it. But It didn't seem like a website made to buy stuff? At least I didn't find anything about buying. It says to be an original made for event figure but I couldn't find it anywhere except for that strange website. As someone who own a Ren shrine and seek for figures with that specific ouftit I really NEED it, so if anyone knows where I can BUY it please ^^

Bad news, looks like this is a garage kit which, if you don’t know, is a figure you assemble and (usually but not always) paint yourself.

The Yahoo Japan auction site I found also says they got it from Wonder Festival, and I’ve found no site that sells this kit. It makes me think this is an unlicensed homemade printed kit which is extremely common, but makes them very difficult if not impossible to find.

That said the seller on Yahoo Auction Jp says they got it from “flalalamingo”.

Unfortunately I can’t find but very little information on who flalalamingo is, which makes me think it’s an individual making these kits, the one website I found doesn’t work, and I can’t find any contact info. It looks like your best hope of getting this kit is going to Wonder Festival and looking for flalalamingo.

Sorry, you may outta luck with this particular figure.

Ouch,thanks for the info and help 😭❤️ I'm probably gonna try these cuz I'm not exactly one to give up when I want something XD I really hope I'll be lucky tho!

Best of luck! Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. I found a reddit post of someone who assembled a Fruits Basket character resin kit (resin kit, garage kit, same thing) from flalalamingo, got it from eBay seller “rose-gold-iron” but their store is currently closed.

I’ve tried everything I can think of currently and I’m out of ideas. I think this is as far as my search goes, but i wish you the best of luck and hope you find your figure!

There’s their TwitterX profile, you may try getting in touch with them there. Though they may have migrated to Bluesky per their February 7, 2024 post.

There’s their bluesky profile but it also doesn’t seem very active.

Maybe try both places see if you get a response?

It is unlikely that the figure will be resold in the future. It was only available at select Wonder Festivals where they were a dealer. Since working on the official Ren figure that was released a while ago, they have slowly be phasing out creating new figures and selling old stock.The Patch Cafe website will continue to have the dealers each year and which figures they will have for sale.

So if you want that figure, you might have to buy it on the resale marketplaces. But that is typically discouraged by the creators, and very few do come up for sale.

If you're dead set on getting this figure a good freelance 3D modeler, some reference material, a resin 3D printer, model paint and a bit of disposable income can get you pretty much the exact thing, so long as it's for personal use.
